Deception: Lies About Newt From Romney?

RUSH: I mentioned his name yesterday — Jeffrey Lord was in the political office of the White House during the first term of Reagan, maybe both terms. Jeffrey Lord now writes at the American Spectator. Jeffrey Lord, like me, didn’t understand all this stuff at Newt yesterday.
AP has a story referring to me now as “conservative radio titan.” And they describe me as trying to defend Newt on this yesterday, and in the process, nevertheless, recounting all of the things that Newt had said. I wasn’t trying to defend Newt, as AP said. All I was saying was I pay close attention to this stuff. Even when I wasn’t doing a talk show, this stuff was my life. The last two to three years I was working with the Kansas City Royals (that would have been ’81, ’82, ’83, I got back into radio in 1984) I was immersed in this stuff. And Newt, the only thing I knew about him was that he was the premiere — there were a lot of people trying — but he was the premiere Reagan defender in
those special orders. And I just had never heard any of this stuff.
Jeffrey Lord, who worked in the White House at the time, had not heard any of this stuff. So he did some research and has written a piece that is now in the American Spectator, The Spectacle blog. I just got it. It prints out six pages, and I have not had a chance to read the whole thing, but it seems like Elliott Abrams has been had. It seems like Elliott Abrams had a piece at National Review really ripping into Newt, was spoon-fed some out-of-context stuff. “Abrams quotes Newt for saying in this speech that Reagan’s policies towards the Soviets are ‘inadequate and will ultimately fail.’” He quotes Newt as saying that. So Jeffrey Lord went to the special order, Newt’s speech on the floor of the House when the House had shut down business for the day and listened to the whole thing. It was an hour.

I do not believe in coincidences, nor do I find a conspiracy every conflict of beliefs. However, the attacks on Newt did seem a little too organized and controlled. The real question is who can beat Obama? No change will occur in Washington with the current ‘personality’ make up of the politicians.

Why would you put an unethical (Newt had to pay $300,000 when he was speaker of the house). He is contantly associated with Freddie Mac. (1.6 million in consultation fees). Does it matter who you put into office as long as they can beat Obama?

I just read a piece about George Soros speaking in Europe. He likes Mitt Romney, and told them (in Europe) not to worry. That there was very little difference in Romney and Obama.
Those would be Republican insiders, the elite, bluebloods who have run the Republican party into the ground.Not a conservative among them.

The more I hear Romney, the more I’ve decided not to vote for him. I have decided he says what he thinks everyone wants to hear. I’m sorry, we’ve already had 4 years of that kind of politician!
ngoodnite: Your comment leaves me wondering. If it’s Obama v.s. Romney, you’d vote for Obama?? Or would you vote for a 3rd party or write-in candidate? Or maybe be really silly and vote for Mickey Mouse? Please get serious. We MUST be organized solidly behind the selected Republican candidate to get Obama unelected. Voting for 3rd party or write-in candidates will only split the conservative vote and let Obama win. Remember “Reluctant Ross?” He got lots of votes even though he really didn’t want to run, and succeeded in causing the Democrats to win the election because he split the Republican vote. In the 2012 election, we can’t afford a split conservative vote. I hope you’ll be part of the solution and vote for the Republican candidate that finally gets nominated. We need to get Obama unelected and to replace as many Democrats in Congress as possible, and splitting the vote won’t get it done.

In addition the other candidates must get out of the race they know they can’t win. The first should be Ron Paul. He would make a good cabinet member on fiscal issues. Santorum is a good guy, but we need a tough experienced man NOW to battle and beat Odumbass!!!!

They’re willing to ignore the sexual sins of Newt Gingrich, nearly identical to those of Clinton, and use the left tactics of destroying the messenger.
So, now we know that Newt wanted his wife and his mistress at the same time. But that’s not the worst of it. These phony conservatives are also willing to just IGNORE the ample, liberal leaning, DANGEROUS history of Newt Gingrich. JUST WOW!

Newt Gingrich, the Eric Cartman of the Gop…same nasty disposition, spoiled little brat with only a neurotic mother to raise him, and Always only looking out for his own selfish interests. They even look alike!
And Newt is an unethical theif. We need a conservative who is honest.
Bottom line: Romney is the “established” candidate of choice by the GOP. The GOP is really no better than Obama in forcing the people to accept and vote for who THEY think is best.
The PEOPLE will decide the candidate at the ballot box, not from liberal/moderate/beltway/Washington insider Republicans at some GOP headquarters.

Romney I believe is the wrong man for president. He seems to be wishy washy on things he said. Like being governor, if he knew he coudn’t get something changed would refer to the courts, knowing in Mass. they wound’t do anything. He appears as in sheeps clothing, similar to ooobbbaaamma. I agree about Newt. I think he can win against Obama. Seems Romneys views are too much like some of Obamas. However if he becomes the nominee I will vote for him, because we must get Obama out of there. Romney has all this money to spend on the election.
One thing no one talks about is the fact that occupy wall street will be fighting against Romney, even though there is nothing wrong with make money, but they seem to have a problem with that.
What Fox News is doing to Newt Gingrich is horribly sick…and I always watched and for the most part trusted FOX only. That will change…they are no different than the mainstream media of whom they have claimed to admonish. Their influence on Romney and disdainful commentary on Newt is no different than evil. Coulter was bad before, but now absolutely repulsive. There are many others who have shockingly lowered themselves to become as bad as she is. Charles Krautheimer, (sp) Karl Rove, DENNIS MILLER. O’Riley should separate himself from Dennis Miller, or we will begin to question Bill as well. He has recently attempted to “put on an unbiased picture of the intentional destruction of Gingrich, but it is not even close to enough” Why put Coulter, Miller, and the like on his program to such such extreme bias, if he is truly portraying fairness and lack of bias. They are all telling the conservatives who is best as if people cannot tell for themselves. When will they speak of Romney’s liberal past, deceit, dishonesty, and true lack of character. They think they are fooling the people when they tell us Romney shows character by his charitable givings, without being outright truthfull and telling us that it is mandatory for the Mormoms to tithe the exact amount Romney has.
Tithing is Mandatory for all Christians, not just Mormons. God Bless Romney for Tithing and also his beneficial Gift Offerings to the Lord Jesus Christ.

It’s a shame. We are always forced to pick the lessor of two evils for our leaders. This goes all the way down to our Representatives and our Senators. Who ever wins the Senate will be boss. Right now Newt seems to be the best offer to defeat Obama but we can’t let that be the thing that “tells” us how to vote. Will he help wind the Senate? Let’s watch Santorum for awhile yet. He probably can take the Senate also but I don’t think he can win a one on one with Obama right now. Ron Paul is going to divide us all.
I think we could all fall behind someone who says they will clean house with all the present politicians financial gains. The must be held responsible and not get all these ‘forever” perks. Let them eat what we eat. Let them earn their keep like we have to. I think giving them total retirement benefits and perks are out of line. Once they learned they could vote themselves a raise and perks, it was the end of our freedom. Back to the Constitution is the only way this Country will do good and survive. The Republican waring is confusing you and I plus it’s not over by a long shot. If you think Mitt Romney has money, just wait and see if he wins our votes how much money the Progressive President can blow on a reelection bid. The general public could give a shit and is generally stupid. Obama knows how to use this to his advantage. A real verbal expert. What a shame on us. One saving thing (possibly). Supreme Court is deciding whether to hold up six State Laws on whether a certified birth certificate will be required to be on the ballot. Judge? Kagan is the foul ball in the mix.
PS: There hasn’t been a Presidential election won without dirty tactics by the winner.

I said it before when Obama was campaigning that he will drain this country to the ground and Romney will do the same. Something about him that I still can figure it out, like tonight in Hannity show his first guess was Gingrich and he layout everything he will do the first 30 days in office and one of those executive order he said was to repeal Obama care,removed all czar, sign the key pipeline and so on, however the next guess was Romney and somehow one of Newt plan Romney copy it with a different attitude or different approach.
Even Sara Palin said that Romney can not beat Obama and she said that Romney is wrong about all those lie about Gingrich , she told Hannity that Gingrich was the only one who balance the budget, reformed the welfare and she knows him with a hard back bones to defeat Obama.If anyone will say that is a lie it’s your own opinion because I will tell you what when Sara Palin decided to run against the governor in Alaska and when she win she fired a lot of people and get the work done and she even sold the private jet of the governor and the republican smear her and put her as outsider and that’s why this left wing media are pushing Romney because they know Romney will be the same as Obama and if Newt Gingrich become the nominee their back door deal will be over and a lot of them will loose their job and their easy income.I have never fail yet and if you will continue to support Romney you must well said goodbye and start digging because he will be the next Obama.Romney never tell the truth and he face his oponent and copy of what his oponent said, he is two faces and two different person.Vote for Newt if you want to see and restored this country of what it should be.
