The Republican presidential candidates are belittling each other and airing nasty attack ads as they battle in Florida.

But Marco Rubio doesn’t seem worried that damage inflicted now will carry into November. When the GOP nominee is eventually chosen, Florida’s junior senator and Republican wunderkind predicts the party will come together and defeat Democratic President Obama.

“I don’t think it’s any different than you’ve seen in other campaigns,” Rubio said, mentioning the drawn-out 2008 fight for the Democratic nomination between Obama and Hillary Clinton. “I think these races get like that. They get heated. These are highly competitive individuals. There’s a lot at stake.”

In a wide-ranging interview in his Capitol Hill office decorated with palm trees, Rubio said Thursday he’s not planning to endorse a candidate before Tuesday’s primary, explained why he thinks the improving-but-still-sluggish economy will cost the president a second term, and encouraged Republicans to do a better job of wooing Latino voters.

Whoever picks Rubio will never get elected. He is not a natural born citizens and many will not vote to help shred the Constitution any more than what these globalist neocons have done already.

  • Alice

I will vote for Romney any day. He has the capability and the finances to beat OBAMA. Vote for anyone else and we will end up with 4 more years of Obama.
Newt and Santorum have short money strings, besides Santorum has no name recognition and Gingrich is hated by most republicans.
I do not like NEWT because he is an adulterer and a liar. We should not trust a liar. Maybe Newt’s Lunar base could accept him and his 3 wives.
I thought multi wives are mormon’s label. In reality perhaps NEWT is a mormon. In the 1800′s Mormons stopped multiple marriages. Now NEWT is starting it. Calista is the third wife, so NEWT has really no first lady.

Alice Aren’t you the smug, sanctimonious one!!!I believe that is called self-righteosness. Very tacky…

      • McClarinJ

For once I agree with you, Ann. I do however wonder what value Newt’s vows to all us complete strangers would be were he to be president.

    • Riverdweller

The Mormons had multiple wives – all at the SAME TIME. And as many as they could support.
They stopped because the government forced them to.

Newt has had only ONE wife at a time. Yes, he has had 3. I know a lot of people who have had more spouses than that (even within my own family).

Then, there was Liz Taylor – how many husbands did she have ? 6 or 7 , something like that.

Is Rubio just another Mexican “Fraud” Invader??? I heard him talking Spanish
In a Video & I almost signed him up for
    A lawn care job!.
Looking at our Invaded border problems
Do we need more illegal Mexican backers
    In Government positions???????????????

    • McClarinJ

Hey Vet, he’s not Mexican. Both parents came from Cuba. If you are a veteran he values you. Not saying I’m a Rubio supporter though. I think he’s drunk too much neoconservative Cool Aid.

  • Bob DD

We need some new blood in the W.H.

Rubio could swing the Hispanic vote, although he will be vilified by the Demos.

Wors is that Ron Paul will stay in race to carry his delegates to try to get his son, Rand, the VP slot. Rand is fresh air, but he looks wierd, and the curly hair must go. That appearance would be a negative.

    RUBIO, RUBIO, RUBIO!

    • McClarinJ

I agree. Maybe a bald look for Sen. Paul…

    • Riverdweller

So you judge someone by their appearance.
Ever hear the saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover” ?

It is easy to agree with Mario, and he could possibly be correct. He pointed out the conflict between Hillary and obama. And he is correct in his points, “almost,” and here is why. McCain was obama’s opponent. McCain is and was a passive progressive who would not, for some unknown reason, be critical of or attack obama in any way or on any of the things obama advocated. I know he considers himself a Republican but if he is, he is a far left Republican. I am not sure such an animal exists. So you see there were two mistakes made in 2008, not just the fact obama was elected by a bunch of idiots who didn’t think it made any difference who was elected. Because they have been told and have fallen for the untruth that both parties are the same. They are not! We conservatives presented a candidate who had no chance of winning the election. A turn the other cheek guy if you will. An admitted broken man, broken during his captivity in Viet Nam. I can guarantee you obama will not be so congenial, count on it. He, obama, will at least attempt to literally destroy who ever his opponent is and he will have the liberal media to assist in that attempt along with the money of george soros. Who ever the Republican candidate is he must be extremely strong willed and persistent. Someone who cannot be beaten in a debate or swayed on facts. We are in the fight of our life for our very life and don’t forget it!

AZ Don…. Do you listen to Rush??? He made a lot of sense today(as usual)… He said that even if Romney should get the nomination, he will NOT fight obama like he is attacking Newt. He says that the republican party won’t allow him to go after obama, so that makes me wonder what they (repubs) are up to… Also they are trying to take Allen West’s district from him.. What is your take on this??? looks like the establishment wants to destroy the TEA PARTY….Something smells!!!

      • McClarinJ

Bingo! The GOP establishment marches to the beat of the Council on Foreign Relations just like the Democrat establishment does. They are part of the charade to make us think we have a real choice but notice how both Dems and the GOP pursue the same goals when in power. The tea party threatens to disrupt their conspiracy to subvert America to the New World Order.

Alice-are you a Christian? Christians believe in repentance and forgiveness! Yes, Newt made some terrible mistakes, but he has repented and now has faith in God. To throw his past mistakes into his face is very UN-Christ-like. I have been the victim of cheating and have seen the effects in others. But, if you repent for your sins and ask for forgiveness, you will be forgiven. God has forgiven Newt-why can’t you? Newt in 2012!:-)
