Democrats controlling the Senate have abandoned a 1,924-page catchall spending measure that’s laced with homestate pet projects known as earmarks and that would have provided another $158 billion for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Nevada Democrat Harry Reid gave up on the nearly $1.3 trillion bill after several Republicans who had been thinking of voting for the bill pulled back their support.

GOP leader Mitch McConnell threw his weight against the bill in recent days, saying it was in his words “unbelievable” that Democrats would try to muscle through in just a few days legislation that usually takes months to debate.

Reid said he would work with McConnell to produce a short-term funding bill to keep the government running into early next year.

Dirty Harry looks like he’s about to cry and rightly so, He should be crying tears of shame and Polosi should be crying with him for the same reason. Now that he’s given up he should get out of the way and let the Americans go to work.

Dingy Harry finally gets smacked down. He is the most dangerous man to our freedoms in America. I believe that he rigged the Nevada election when the voting machines went down for an hour. He needs to be investigated.

Look at this guy Nevada, why don’t you become hero’s to the rest of the country and recall him. If this keeps up, you won’t have anyone who can go to Vegas to spend the money they don’t have!

Sent messages to Senators and Representives, Thank them if they voted NO for the Omnibus Bill, but don’t vote for the Dream Act, Don’t Ask -Don’t Tell, Start Treaty or the Food Safety Bill. JUST GO HOME PLEASE!!!

  • Bill Stewart

He looks sad because he had the votes, but they left him in the last few days — thank goodness! He called the vote because he thought he had enough votes to win.

He must be worried about his next election in six years. He didn’t stop this waste and abuse of tax payer’s money before this. I truely believe he realizes he does not have the support of this bill passage with so many in houses still realing from the voter’s smack down in 2010. It’s shameful he wasn’t ousted. Wake up Navada!
