Wisconsin Union Collective Bargaining: A Teacher’s Fundamental Right to Viagra

Saturday, February 26, 2011

Print Friendly and PDF

Wisconsin governor Scott Walker, in an exclusive interview with the Heritage Foundation, called union collective bargaining a “vicious cycle,… one I think people have realized we can’t afford anymore.”  Government unions bargain for more taxpayer money, collect dues from their membership, and come right back to the table demanding more.  In the case of the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association (MTEA), more means Viagra, Cialis, and the like for male employees of Milwaukee public schools.

In 2002, through collective bargaining, MTEA won the inclusion of Viagra in its members’ health plans, and by 2004, 10% of union membership (which isn’t a male-dominated set) was subscribing to the benefit — at a cost of more than $200,000 per year to the Milwaukee school district.  Not until 2005 was the school district finally able to convince an arbitrator to drop the coverage.

Last year, while the school district faced a $10 million dollar budget shortfall, the MTEA decided it was time to revisit those drug benefits and filed a lawsuit demanding their reintroduction to union health plans—at a projected cost of $786,000 in 2010.

It may look like the union trying to raise costs for taxpayers, but MTEA spokeswoman Kristin Collett insists that it’s really a matter of fundamental rights:  “this is an issue of discrimination, of equal rights for all our members.”  (Lest any private sector employee forget that Viagra is a right.)

Impotence is natures way of saying NO to hard feelings. I hate it for the men who’ve lost their natural ability. You can pay for Viagra or Cialis out of pocket like most everybody does. I don’t see special stamped on anybody’s forehead. You union folks need to get a grip. Reality exist, it’s your job to get in touch with it. My folks always taught me…”the world doesn’t owe you a living.” Too bad you didn’t have good parents like I did, because you believe that the world DOES owe you a living. And there we’ve come full circle. We’re right back at reality’s doorstep. GET A GRIP ON REALITY PEOPLE !

    • The Enemy

To Eddie: Agreed, Sir! It’s so pathetic how the unions claim they have a “right” to this and that, like Viagra. This business that everyone has a “right” to their neighbor’s tax money HAS TO STOP! Unions have run their course and gotten too big and too political. IT’S TIME TO BUST THEM UP!

    • Nancy

“I don’t see special stamped on anybody’s forehead”

Exellent phrase! Wish I’d thought of it. And you’re right; They are no more special than any of the rest of us.

    • Farmer Jones

I agree 100% the government does not owe you anything. whale were at it stop all these lobbyist in washington DC. By the way why is it that so many Americans are on disability. I see them everyday fishing, shopping even working for cash but they still draw disability. WHY WHY WHY. Please give me a answer.

    • Jenn

As I can agree with the disability issue to a point – seen people sneeze and get it – I have to tell you that to make a judgment call you need to know the history of the individuals medical as well as understanding how employers frown on some of them. Everyone is different. Small businesses, like the corner store, would rather pay cash. The benefits can go through the roof for them with a disabled person. Paying them cash also protects the employee to a point. If they have MS or another illness that has hard hitting days, The cash employer is more willing to give them the week off. In the corporate world, a 5 day episode is frowned upon and could lead to termination and they will lie about why they are terminating said person. Cash work is normally very little and only helps cover a few extra things during the month. Recipients are allowed to make about 1k a month as seniors are without disrupting their benefits. Fishing requires minimum effort and also helps mentality, shopping does the same for others. Can’t expect anyone to be bound to the house forever. Getting out of the house and letting them pick their own food or socks gives a sense of self worth and responsibility.

    • LS

With cash the employee shows no means of support therefore are entitled to the full array of welfare programs as well as the cash for working.

    • Frank Kiser

I thought we were talking about viagra. Needing it is a disability?Well I guess so I guess i will go sign up for disability instead of paying $15.00 a pill.

    • Phyllisofical

More Americans are on disability because they get lawyers and sue Social Security for benefits. We’ve also got more young people who have chosen to fry their brains on Meth and we get to support them for life!

    • whackajig

Farmer Jones….. one of the reasons for so many people wishing to be parasites, government dependent ticks and fleas, is that their parents failed to teach them proper values. One of the glaring faults of the present working population is the lack of self sufficiency. People fail to stand on their own two feet. Things will not change unless children are taught to control their own destiny and not just be leeches.

    • Joyce from Loris

I had a wake up call concerning children on disability while at a fair in Ohio. I saw a young man selling drugs to little kids, and called the police over to tell them about it. They just shook their heads, and said that the young man was a “problem”. His mother is a crack head, on disability. She has 10 kids by 10 different men, and all of them are on disability because THEY are crack heads as well. Now, those ten kids are starting to reproduce, and guess what? Their children are on disability because they are being born with birth defects. I also was told about a 16 year old boy who draws $900 a month in disability because he is “afraid to be in a crowd”. There were 25,000 people at the fair, and so was he. Also, I met a young couple. The girl told me she was pregnant and did not have a job. I asked her how she planned on taking care of her baby. She just gave me a blank stare, and the boy told me that he gets “a check”. I asked for what, and he said he was disabled because he couldn’t read. I told him that was NOT a disability, and he corrected it and said he was ADHD. These children are being TAUGHT by their parents to milk the system, and then the government and the democrats can’t understand why the hard working American tax payers are so OUTRAGED, so fed up with this ignorant system. I want it all to end, I want welfare ENDED, medicaid ENDED. They system needs to be SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY, and a new system developed. Small town Social Service offices are full of corruption, plus the laws of SS force good employees to hand our money out. I am so sick of this ignorance.

    • Pastor Charlie

      Hey Whack-o,

I told you that i read your posts and I find lotza good stuff in them… Je concure! The only thing I might add is that the teacher’s union NEED their viagra! How else could they do to the public and the schools what they do? :)

    • James Holloway

Woa there Farmer Jones. Have you ever applied or been part of the process of applying for disability????? I spent the better part of eight years unable to walk across the room or stand at a toilet. You know nothing. I grew up working and I had kidney disease. I played sports all the way up to college basketball and baseball because I fought it and enjoyed playing more than feeling sorry for myself. Oh, yes and I paid for school and my books because I worked and worked and worked. I’ve since had two heart attacks and watched as my insurance for me and my wife and youngest son went from $300 a month to $1400 a month. I’m using every bit of it and I don’t beleive I’d need it if the damn government would get out of my life and my family and let us keep some of what we made. Don’t tell me you know anything about the process or what it means. You have no idea how many people are trying to survive on $500 a month disability. They have NOTHING ELSE and their local charity isn’t picking up the tab….. What would you have us do??? Some people may cheat but I’d bet its the fact that they are living life and not waiting to die that really ticks you off. I refereed for 27 years and would still be doing this if my knees hadn’t given out or that I get full body gout attacks etc etc etc. I can be real sick and still go out and particpate and buck up against anything Obummer would throw at us. I won’t stand by and listen to this type of crap. Stay on subject or shut the hell up. Get an application and see what it takes to fill out and what really qualifies you to even apply. Get a firm dose of info before you start popping off!

    • Ron

It’s time to love your country more then your self. They and we must sacrifice for the future of our America. I expect nothing and want nothing. Let’s all grow up and get a pair!! It’s easy to be a whimp and want everything handed to you.

P.S. That goes for MUSLIMS TOO!

    • John

Two reasons exist for impotence or the need of Viagra:

      1. Men that have very poor cardiovascular health…that can be cured with improved diet and exercise.

      2. Men that have backlayers in bed…that can be cured throwing her out and get one that knows what to do in the bedroom.

    • nod gnilop

John, You are a first class idiot, your knowledge of the human body is less than zero.

    • John

Let me know of any other problem that needs to be rectified to ED.

    • whackajig

Johnnie……….. what part of the body is it that you suggest I exercise so that I do not need Viagra?

Another question…… if your missus is not a backlayer, and she can prevent ED with her sexual gyrations………… may I borrow her for say an hour or so?

    • Allen

What’s the matter? The democrats and unions can’t get it up no more? No wonder they are so mean.

  • remesquaddie

The “limp” bastards need to get some balls.

    • comsense08

They can’t! Their “women” have neutered them for life!

Actually the UNIONS have done that.

    • Allen

      They are pussy whipped.

  • Monty Reed

How unfortunate these men no longer have the natural fortitude but I guess that’s what happens when you expect something for nothing all the time. I alway respond better to things when I have the feeling that I earned it.

  • The Enemy

I hope the whole nation has now gotten a clear picture of the over-reaching attitude of public service unions. What an outrage that they demand Viagra at taxpayers’ expense! Unions have run their course and it’s time to BUST THEM UP!

    • Dee

Viagra is not a right. Unions have outlived their usefulness. They used to be good when working conditions were horrible. Now they are just power hungry and greedy. A lot of people have to pay into their retirement funds and they don’t get free health care. Shame on these greedy pigs.

    • Am2sweet

You are right that unions are no longer needed. And they do nothing more than drain our economy of money needed for other things for us all rather than a select few. There’s not an insurance company I know of that pays for Viagra, Cialis or even Chantex which is to stop smoking. The unions want extra privileges so they can draw more people into unions by pointing out all the extras but not mentioning that the money someone could put in their pocket each week would no doubt pay for some of the things they say are perks. I think that’s similar to screwing the public.

  • MD BUTCH GROOTHUIS

And why is the obama administration inciting them to further action and violence? Could it be that he would like to see a civil war break out? As these protests get more violent and widespread will he declare martial law? It is amazing to see the difference between the conservative tea party rallies and the far left rallies. Don’t people pay attention and notice the difference?

    • comsense08

      Butch,
Yes, people do, real people but this “progressive” folks have sold their sole to the devil for power and money. They are no longer governed by decent moral principles and thus cannot be qualified as “people”. There is a reason God dispursed the people at the Tower of Bable. He knew that when pulled together as a mod, no good can come of it. Here they are, like magnets, trying to pull themselves back together is a mob, otherwise known as “Internatiol Unions”.

    • Frank Kiser

Obama wants unrest in this country. When he gets reelected you will see all h888 break loose.. He needs the unions to intimidate people at election time. Just watch!!

  • CJM

The union is hard-ly impressive in trying to get a rise out of nothing. Sorry, fellas, pay for your special needs out of pocket; male enhancement products are not necessary medications.

    • Colleen

      You got that right!

    • whackajig

I agree CJM……….those with the wimpy weenies need to fund their own erections.

  • jon

This bunch does not need viagra, in fact this bunch does not need to reproduce—the union bunch are worse than the welfare crowd.
Atleast with the welfare crowd you know their just milking the system for all they can steal from real tax payeers, the union bunch trys to hide what they steal by hiding it in long draw out contracts that the regular person will never read.
they are also making their union bosses–aka the mafia filthy rich and are not smart enough to even see that—I would not let this greedy corrupt bunch teach my kids!!!!

  • comsense08

You know, I was watching the grandkids play with their toys the other day. The oldest, had managed to dig out almost every toy from the box and had them scattered all around her. Mind you, there were more than anyone child could play with at anyone time. So the litte one, 2 1/2 years younger, goes over and wants to play with ONE of the many toys big sis had. Well you would have thought the little one was taking EVERY toy in the world judging by the fit she threw. She puts out this huge scream, and starts grabbing every toy near her and then tried to take the one toy away from her little sister. Obviously, we interviened, but it struck me at that moment that this is exactly what the teachers union fiasco in Wisconsin is all about. Big sis teachers union wants ALL the toys, cannot share one toy with their fellow “sisters”. Pretty selfish. They need to be desciplined and taugh how to play well with others. Sorry unions, you don’t get a good report card on this one!

    • Pat

      What a great analogy!

    • whackajig

Who taught the brat that would not share? You? Mom? Dad? Probably no one.

You properly identified the problem and completely ignored the cause.

If we teach our kids proper behavior, there will be some slight chance of them exibiting proper behavior. Fail to teach them, and they will act like your grandchild.

  • 90 & Counting

Years ago, I took 2 doses of the blue pills. About two weeks later, a clot hit my right retina and killed the bottom half. Then I had a heart attack. In Detroit during WW II, I worked for the US Air Force, our men getting killed over seas, The labor unions striking for more when their workers were making $15/hour, I was making $25 a week. A private was getting $21 a month. Greed, Greed

    • whackajig

Important note to Counting……… do NOT put the Viagra tablets in your eye, it causes clots.

  • just wondering

Their greed is disgusting. They have taxed us out of even being able to by our own medicine that we need to live, but we have to pay for their because they’re NOT having a HARD time? Tape it to a popsicle stick already, or buy your own. Maybe if insurance didnt pay for it, the cost might come way down!

    • cheryl

KEITH Your are right. I was a medic in korea and I have never seen so many fakes in my life most from nam., I see one everyday that was a clerk and didn’t get as close as our field hospital was. I spent 10 yrs active and they discharged me with 40% . I am 79 now and they cut me to 30% said I have gotten better. The only thing I now of that gets better with age is booze.

    • Pastor Charlie

      Hey Doc,

I was with the 1st and 1st FMF Corpsman. I know what you mean. I was the company nurse for a civilian packaging corporation. A “Nam-pammby” had a 40% disability from “working” in the engine room of a Nuclear carrier. He had a hearing loss! Crap, those nukes are so quiet you can play pick-up sticks and hear when you move one. He was also a total loss when he attempted to work for us. Oh well…

  • Gennie

    The Unions at one time were needed in the US;
however, they have definitely outgrown their
usefulness. It is mind boggling what their
collective bargaining has brought about. Our
States which belong to the people are broke
because of ridiculous ‘rights’ brought about by the bargaining – like VIAGRA — really???
what next if they aren’t brought under contol.
We have hundreds of teachers who have outgrown their usefulness but school boards have their hands tied when it comes to getting rid of them so better teachers can be hired. Our children are the ones who
suffer because of the Teacher’s Union.
Gov. Walker is right – it is time to get rid of the Collecting Bargaining in union contracts.

    • Cate

In Washington state, the taxpayers get to pay for Viagra ect. and operations to change a he to a she and visavera. Sorry about the spelling, I don’t have a dictionary handing and I’m suffering from a union teachers education.

    • Angie

So right! The next thing you know they’ll be asking the insurance to pay for plastic surgery, botox, hair dyeing, liposuction and all that crap! Viagra my @$$. We taxpayers should never have to pay for that crap! It’s ridiculous!!! That money should come out of their own pockets, not ours!

    • whackajig

You are correct, those people need to get a grip on themselves, they need to take the situation in hand.

    • Allen

Isn’t liposuction how Clinton got his big lips?

  • http://patriotupdate paul m

I saw a Union goon on tv yesterday who said they want just what we disabled vets have since we have such a wonderful retirement. I have over forty years of service and I have had open heart surgery for injuries I suffered on active duty. BUT THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS: SOME FAT ASS CIVILIAN FED EMPLOYEE GETS THEIR RETIREMENT, AND DISBILITY FOR THEIR CARPALTUNNEL INJURY AND SOCIAL SECURITY AND THEIR UNION PENSION.REAL NICE AND THEY CAN WORK TOO. NICE! MY RETIREMENT IS MY DISABILITY PAY AND SOCIAL SECURITY. WE, THE DEFENDERS OF THESE LAZY BASTARDS HAVE TO MAKE A CHOICE – DISABILITY OR RETIREMENT NOT BOTH. UNTIL THE MILITARY GETS CONCURRENT RECIEPT WE HAVE TO CHOOSE. AND THE NEXT WHININ’ UNION JACKASS IS GOING TO GET A SIZE 9.5 JUMPBOOT SUPPOSITORY.

  • Andy

Now I understand why they need the Viagra, they’re all a bunch of limp-dicks! The only thing hardening naturally are their arteries.

  • http://Yahoo.com Thomas Martin

The unions should be charged with rape and murder, screwing tax payers and killing time.

  • http://GrainsofSand Marilyn

OK,I am a retired teacher and have had enough of this regarding why teachers should not have collective bargaining. I hope that people will go back into their history books and remember the time of the industrial revolution. During that time we had sweatshops where people worked long hours with no breaks except maybe one to eat lunch.
Remember the coal miners… without safety features in place. Teachers had to teach different grades in one room and they bought the books and classroom supplies(much like we still do today). They also cleaned the classroom. When children come into the classroom it didn’t care if it was 10, 20, or 70. Yes, I taught 70 children in a day. I had 35 Kindergarteners in first half and another group of 35 in the afternoon. Is this justice for your child to get a proper education. I could have made more more if I asked the parents of these children to pay me a $5.00 an hour rate than what the school system paid by using our taxes paid me a day. Believe me teachers also help pay their salaries by paying their taxes…it’s our money too. What I am saying is collective bargaining is needed to protect not only the rights of the teachers but the rights of your child and you as a taxpayer. If we didn’t have collective bargaining teachers, with a master degree that is required to teach in the majority of school systems in the USA,we would be living below poverty. We chose our profession just like attorneys chose theirs. Believe me attorneys get paid alot more than teachers. However, if you see your child in a classroom of 35 or more think nothing of it because this is what is going to happen without collective bargaining. What don’t we take away the taxes and your child won’t have any school books etc and you as a parent will have to comply and purchase everything and the list will be in the hundreds of dollars per child.
Yes, I agree that some meds do not belong on the table and cost the taxpayers more money.
Teachers are already paying over 20% for their insurance. My deductibles are high like $3,000 but at least I do have some insurance. Teachers are professionals. We go to school and teach, we grade papers after school or even take them home to grade, we go to the University to study to get a master’s degree of which we borrow money to do so and we work a job in the summer if we are not going to college. Personally I would rather be paying my tax money out to people who do a service for the communtiy and educate my child then pay taxes to people who are on welfare and never get off. So get off the backs of teachers.. Obviously the most of you who complain about teachers have either failed in school and never received your diploma. Don’t blame it on us when you didn’t even try. Don’t blame it on us if your parents didn’t get you help for a learning problem to be diagnosed because they were in denial. I would love to see you who complain about teachers go into a classroom by yourself and teach the students every subject within the day with all the interruptions of misbehaving children who cuss & swear, get up in your face, pin you against the wall, throw chairs at you, and the list goes on. Go ahead and see if you can do a better job. Remember you can’t lay a hand on a child..Good luck. That is why we have collective bargaining and unions to protect ourselves in the classroom and ask for a pay raise once in awhile. Think about this and open up your mind.

    • DaNangMe

You said the key phrase when you said it’s your money too and that you pay taxes too. So why would you agree to increased property taxes and a higher cost of living for all.You don’t really care about those kids or their families in the private sector do you?You protest on the basis of equality issues when even after increases in costs to you, you’re still making more than those in the private sector.I’ll bet you never got an increase in pay and benefits without an increase in dues either.

I have an open mind, but I would like you to go back, look at the test scores of students in the 50’s & 60’s who where the products of 30 & 40 student class sizes, then compare them to the results of the last 20 years. The NEA should be ashamed of its self.

    • Pastor Charlie

      My Dear Marilyn:

I am appalled (that means, “filled with dismay”) at your lack of spelling and grammar! You say you were a teacher for how many minutes? Do you tell me that you are the reason so many of our children can’t add, subtract, read or write legible English? By the name of all that is gracious, you should be ashamed to display the gross ignorance you displayed, writing that drivel!

I can see why you are a supporter of the modern union mentality. Without it, you would not have been acceptable to ANY School, for any reason…viagra, or no viagra!

I am certainly in favor of smaller classes for “teachers”, such as you profess to be; there would be fewer ignoramouses coming from your school!

You forget that your salary IS taxes. In Wisconsin, teachers presently pay 6.25% towards their insurance. They are being asked to double that to 12.5%. Big deal, from a “50,000.00 for a nine month work year!

You intimate that you have a Master’s Degree. From where? Podunk University, or Grace L. Ferguson’s Screen-Door and College Company?

I have a Doctorate in Divinity and a Master’s in Pre-Hospital Emergency Care and a Nursing Degree. I too, am a professional! My profession deals with the eternity of the human soul, not teaching children how to incorrectly read and write. My retirement is %900.00 per month and I get to go to The Federal V. A. Medical System for my Service Connected medical conditions.

I’m glad you posted. Your post has opened my eyes and I’m sure the eyes of others who thought that “teachers”, such as you, deserved the bloated pensions and medical benefits you get.

As they say “on the street”, “Go lay Down!”

Many of those costly perscriptions, & other costly items the union said they had to have, will sit un-used, only gotten to cost their employer more money.

  • david stallings

i am no fan of unions however if employees want to start a union in a private business when they sit down to negotiate contracts you have management on on side and the union reps on the other and each side is pressing for their benefits. Not so with public sector, typically the union rep is sitting across the table from some democrat who is looking for all the votes he or she can get and that union rep will promise all if they can only get everything they want. Talk about the FOX guarding the hen house.

    • whackajig

Unions are not needed in private business, like in the olden days.

If you are unhappy with who you work for, quit and get a better job.

If the company is unhappy with the work you do, they should be permitted to fire your ass and get a better worker.

My knowledge of companies show that the boss will be happy to reward the really good employees. Those workers have no need for union thugs. It is the shitty workers who need union protection.

Here’s the deal teachers: its not enough that you pay out of your pocket for school supplies or have to deal with 35 student classes for an average of 45,000 a year, or have high deductible health insurance plans. The taxpayers pay your salary! We should be able to take even more! Stop your entitlement loving ways and get a real job that you earned. We know that you didn’t earn your teacher job. Only real god loving American Patriots know what it takes to earn a job. WAKE UP PEOPLE!

    • Phyllisofical

Most teachers I know are making a good deal more than #45,000/yr. and, if you include benefits, it really goes up. Yes, it is tough job. The point is – if your state is bankrupt, we all have to give up something to make it. Certainly, you can give up Viagra and Cialis paid for by everyone else. And maybe it’s time to vote for someone that has a good fiscal policy next time instead of a party that will spend, spend, spend everyone’s else’s money into oblivion.

    • whackajig

I have seen many advertisements for Viagra.

They advise you to call 911 or the hospital if you get one of those 4 hour railers. 911 my ass, I am going to call the neighbor ladies.

The unions, all of them, have been taken over by nothing more than the government, that is GREED. Look how Obama has declared himself King, and all his slobbering followers as royalty. They are exempt from the laws the people have to abide by. They have lifetime pay after only one term in office, and their health benefits make the healthcare for taxpayers look like a roll of ductape. They don’t pay in to social security, and don’t have to comply with security rules. They constantly want to disarm the law abiding public, but refuse to punish criminals that use them. Now, can you say revolution?

  • Sid

The first year when Viagra came out the military, including the VA, handed out fifty million dollars worth. In one year. I don’t think they are as free with it anymore as I have not asked for any but I believe the insurance companies that offer alternative Medicare coverage have limited access too. An erection is not covered in the Bill of Rights as far as I know. So take care of the problem, if you have one, yourselves. Maybe it would help if your wives were not as fat and lazy as you are. I think maybe a fine looking well built woman could fix the problem as quick or quicker than Viagra.

    • Phyllisofical

My understanding is that erectile dysfunction is caused more by a man’s difficulty relating to a woman’s complex emotional nature. And that women are less responsive and easy to arouse because of longstanding unresolved problems between her and her man. So it’s more of a keep-short-acounts-with-each-other and forgive each other’s wrongs. My 40 yr. old brother bought Viagra so he could have sex every day with whoever he could get into bed. Not a very good commercial for faithful commitment. Women are being sold a bill of goods that adds up to empty by being told you have to lust like a man to please them. It’s a continuing homoerotic system. Non-stop sex DOES NOT lead to fulfilled relationships – in fact, it can destroy them.

      It is there………..pursuit of happiness

Why not give these poor overwored teachers some “pep” in the pants? After all they teach kingergarten children how to apply a condom to a cucumber. They teach other grades the importance of same sex relationships and marriage of same sex people. Do the children know how to read? No, just the instructions on a condom package. Do they kn0w math, history, geography. NO. Hell,, they are to busy learning about diversity, the koran and how to respect muslin scum, sex, perversions. We can’t ask much more from these poor kids!

    • Sarah

You are way off base on your statement. You seem to hate the world. In fact, K teachers don’t teach how to put a condom on cucumber.
K students learn to read when they are ready. You don’t know anything about the other side of the fence. I bet you don’t have a high school education. The majority of the feed back here is about viagra, condoms and sex. It’s obvious who the real perverts are here.

    • whackajig

So, Sarah, your parents were perverts? I assume they were since they thought about sex, or, I guess they did when you were conceived.

Sex is only dirty in your mind.

  • Yellow Horse

How about post-u-vac instead?? You may have to find someone that can help you with it, but you won’t be taking viagra in the teachers lounge, learing at one another!!And the kids!!

    • whackajig

      Long live “Vacujack”

  • Roger

AWE come on people it’s hard to keep screwing the people so the answer is VIAGRA FOR ALL UNION MEMBERS.. Next on the agenda will be to have all non union workers walk around bent over to make it eaiser for them….

    • whackajig

Know what happens if you give Viagra to a lawyer?

      He gets taller.

  • Betty

After reading the comments,I am so happy to know the MAJORITY of Americans are smart enough to know the protesting union members are undeserving of the jobs they are blessed to have.Tantrum throwing teachers that got false sick excuses should be fired!!and the ‘fleebagger’Democrats,I wonder if they have a clue how contemptible 87% of folks think they are?The union supporters remind me of screeching baboons, screaming and shaking their fists. The police are wimps, not enforcing their orders to clear out the capitol building,no respect or decency there!!
Got many laughs from the clever jokes about Viagra;thanks, thanks!

  • J.R. Milligan

Wow, clicking on a link from a FB friend, this is quite a slice of Americana I have stumbled onto. Here I thought I was coming to visit a dialogue on our dilemma of how to fund health care benefits, and I wind up finding a bunch of writers fixated on teachers’ sex lives. Cool!

Seriously, if the free Viagra stuff is true, that is pretty ridiculous, I grant you. But let’s just take a deep breath and take a look at the larger picture. The bottom line is our nation has now been reduced to a bunch of WalMart greeters with part-time jobs (if they are lucky) getting into class warfare with workers who might actually have fought for some health-care benefits (if they are lucky) and who might actually have some sort of pension for the decades they have spent serving us (those Socialists!)

In the mean time, all the bailed-out CEO’s are laughing their asses off at our expense. They are joined by the bailed-out bankers who continue to give each other million-dollar bonuses. And you writers have the gall to call yourselves Patriots? Can you say, “delusions of grandeur,” boys and girls?

Look, I do feel your pain, you “patriots”, but let’s direct our outrage to where it is really needed. Right now, you are acting like nothing more than corporate shills and slitting your own throats. I’m sure Ms. Palin is Extreamly Prowd of y’all.

    • whackajig

You are full of bull obama. Businesses and wealthy folks are not your enemies. The only productive meaningful jobs are created by businesses large and small.

The top 1% of the taxpayers (the rich guys you hate) pay over 38% of all the federal income tax. The top 10% pays 70% of the tax. The Unites States of America punishes those who work harder and smarter than you do, and it is they who make the continued existence of our nation possible.

    • Pastor Charlie

      Holy-Moley Whack-o!

I am Amazed and Surprised! And both of them pleasantly so.

WOW! You are so 100% “Right-On”! Let’s hear it for “Entreprenurialism”, both large and small! The source of ALL ECONOMICALLY MEANINGFUL jobs!

  • Joyce from Loris

I hope that every parent in Wisconsin will get enough of this absolute unbelievable act by the union members and TAKE THEIR KIDS OUT OF THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. Home school them, or put them in private school, just long enough to SHUT THE SCHOOLS COMPLETELY DOWN. Then, there will be no need for teacher’s unions. The governor should issue immediately voulchers for the parents. He would not have to deal with the unions anymore. The teachers have abandoned their post at the school houses anyway. They can not be depended on to teach the children. What are parents doing with the children, with the schools being empty? Don’t they have to go to work? So, more than just the teachers are being affected by their actions. Shut the schools down, permanently.

  • tbonekid

THESE UNION WORKER’S DON’T NEED VIAGRA TO MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE A BUNCH OF DICKHEADS IT’S VERY OBVIOUS THAT THEY HAVE AN ERECTION BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN SCREWING THE TAX PAYER’S FOR YEAR’S.

  • pete0097

We need a comparison of the salaries and benefits of the teachers versus the salaries of the people of Wisconsin (and other states with the same problems)

  • factsonlyplease

And Viagra has what to do with school again?

  • http://yahoo Wayne

Many years ago I became a member of the IBEW upon being hired. I learned quickly that my work ethic enabled me to do twice as much as the normal union employee. Also I learned the union’s functione. 1. Collect money. 2. Support democrats. 3. Cause problems. 4. Retain the unqualified and worthless employees.

  • Charles

Most of the men using it DO NOT need it. They are sex crazed younger men who simply want MORE. It is absurd and narcissistic.

But the real problem is that Walker (and the Repubs in the Wisconsin Congress) are EXEMPTING POLICE AND FIRE UNIONS. (See Fox News Judge Napolitano last night).

Until the law he is trying to pass covers ALL unions, I can no longer support the effort. He has created a reason to overturn the law in court while appearing to fight against the unions.

I can’t tell you how ANGRY this made me when I heard it. He seems to be a wolf in sheeps clothing.

    • Pastor Charlie

Charles (Why do I feel, like I’m writing to a mirror?)

You, like many others confuse Union State Employees with County and Municipal employees.

There are many “Paid” Fire Departments in Wisconsin, but none of them are State Employees. The same with the various Police and Sherriff’s Departments. Other than the State Police and DNR enforcement people, they are NOT State Employees.

Direct your anger at the “FleeBegger” demoncraps who are in direct violation of their State laws and in dereliction of their job duties. Can you say “unfeasance”. It means failure to do one’s required duty.

  • Larry

If these Democrats had any common sense they would do there jobs now and then when they have the opportunity after this mess with the country and the finances of each State and Federal Governments are in better shape then every one could make things right. This country is in trouble with all the money these politicians have spent that got us into this mess and all of us have to make a change to correct it so use your votes when the time comes and fix it but don’t be stupid now and make things worse. All of the idiots that are picketing and don’t belong to a Union need to use your heads for something other than a hammer driving nails into your coffins use your head for thinking about how to get this country out of the mess we are in with your votes each and every time and choose who to vote for not jest for one party or the other but who will do what is best for all of us and the country
