I do not have any Democratic friends that I know of for a reason. They just do not think the same way I do.

Here’s what I do. Every time I get a solicitation for money from a candidate or party that I don’t like, if it has a postage paid reply envelope I send them a penny taped to the reply. I figure if every one of us did this we could bankrupt the person or group just from the lost postage,administrative costs and accounting costs.Makes me feel real good too.

To Spar07. Our armed forces do not have to obey the president. This has come up before. Every serviceman swears his allegiance to the Constitution of the United States of America. That being said, I don’t think that is the reason he is bringing our troops home. I’m more inclined to believe he is giving Iraq to Iran and wants to tilt the power in that direction. Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years.
No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
● Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
● Why the early bird gets the worm;
● Life isn’t always fair;
● and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies
(adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion..

Common Sense lost the will to live when criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;

Has America become the land of special interest and home of the
double standard? Let’s see: If we lie to the Congress, it’s a felony
and if Congress lies to us it’s just politics. If we dislike a black person,
we’re a racist and if a black dislikes whites, it’s their 1st Amendment
right. The government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and
they do almost nothing for the victims. In public schools you can teach
that homosexuality and lesbianism is ok, but you better not use the
word God in the process. You can murder a child in the mothers womb,
but it’s wrong to execute a mass murderer. We don’t burn books in
America, we now rewrite them. We got rid of the communist & socialist
threat by renaming them progressives. If you protest against Obama’s
policies you’re a terrorist, but if you burn an American flag or George
Bush in effigy, it’s your 1st Amendment right.

You can have pornography on TV or the internet, but you better not
put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas. In America,
criminals are now called sick people. The government takes money
from those who work hard & gives it to those who are lazy. Parenting
has been replaced with Ritalin & video games. The land of opportunity
is now the land of hand outs.

And how do we handle a major crisis today? The Government
appoints a committee to determine who’s at fault, then threatens
them, passes a law, raises our taxes, then tells us the problem is
solved so they can get back to their reelection campaign.
