There are conflicting reports on who will be the vice presidential candidate for Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
In a March interview with ONN’s Jim Heath, Florida Senator Marco Rubio made it clear that he didn’t want the job of Mitt Romney’s vice president.
“I’m not going to be the vice president and I’m not running for a national office,” said Rubio. “It’s been my answer every time I’ve been asked it’s not going to change now. I’m not going to be vice president.”
Now ABC News also agrees that the Romney campaign is not vetting him anymore.
That is especially good news for supporters of Ohio Senator Rob Portman. Of the six leading names left for Romney’s VP pick, Portman remains clearly the front-runner.
