CNN founder Ted Turner said it is “good” that there have been more suicides by U.S. Army soldiers than combat deaths this year in Afghanistan, in an appearance on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight on Wednesday.

When discussing the fact that the number of U.S. military suicides outnumbered combat deaths for the year so far in 2012, Morgan said to Turner, “That’s shocking isn’t it?”

“Well, no,” Turner said.
