The state Supreme Court today lifted the order suspending Aransas County Court-at-Law Judge William Adams.

Adams was suspended with pay Nov. 22, 2011, after his daughter Hillary Adams posted a secretly recorded 2004 video of him beating her with a belt when she was a teen.

The video drew millions of hits and put Hillary and her mother, Hallie Adams, on the national talk show circuit.

On Sept. 4, the State Commission on Judicial Conduct issued a public warning against Adams. It questioned Adams’ suitability for his elected post but stopped short of recommending his removal.
