US Vice-President Joe Biden told Asian-Pacific Americans during a speech Wednesday that President Obama re-established the White House initiative on Asian-Americans in order to ensure that they had equal access to federal services, such food stamps, housing aid, healthcare and education.

The Vice President was speaking at the annual awards dinner for the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies, or APAICS.

“As all of you know, we must, we need to do even better.

I’m here to tell you that man who picked me up on that train on January 17th in that freezing cold day in 2008 is as committed as any man who has served in that office to do just that.

That’s why the first thing he did was re-establish the White House initiative on Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders

Because you know too well, we have to make sure everyone has equal access to federal services. They deserve food stamps, housing aid, healthcare programs, access to quality education and so much more!”
