McConnell: Tea party ‘bullies’ need ‘punch in nose’

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said on a conference call organized by Karl Rove’s Crossroads organization for large donors and their advisers on Oct. 30 that the Tea Party movement, in his view, is a “nothing but a bunch of bullies” that he plans to “punch … in the nose.”

On the call, according to a donor who was on it, McConnell personally named Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) as Tea Party conservatives he views as problematic for him. “The bulk of it was an attack on the Tea Party in general, Cruz in particular,” the source, a prominent donor, said in a phone interview with Breitbart News.

But the most memorable line came at the end of the call.

“McConnell said the Tea Party was ‘nothing but a bunch of bullies,’” the source said. “And he said ‘you know how you deal with schoolyard bullies? You punch them in the nose and that’s what we’re going to do.’”

    they did with the Senate being elected by the State’s legislature. It was a check against Senators going
    to the Capitol, then Philly, and forgetting about their home State’s constituent’s desires as to how they
    were to vote. If they didn’t vote as their constituents wanted, the State could bring them home. Now, they
    care less of the constituents but vote a party line the minute they arrive in the Puzzle Palace. The real
    answer to idiots like the sensational triumvirate of McConnell, McCain, and Graham is to repeal the 17th
    Amendment. You’d see a whole different rhetoric from the Puzzle Palace, and you’d see voting across
    party lines, not lock-step as they are now.

    OK, here is my problem. For most of my 69 years I was a listed Republican. But I did not always vote their ticket! I loved Ronald Reagan and tolerated Gerald Ford. I despised Jimmy Carter and HATE Barack Obama (aka Barry Soetero)! I find things to admire in Ron Paul’s platform (domestic) and even more so in Rand’s.
    I am loyal to our Constitution but find amendments I would like to see amended or removed! Like “Birth Right Citizenship” never meant to be abused as it is. I would like to see the use of Executive Orders deeply curtailed. Term limits on all (including the Supremes) in the Federal Government. I want an amendment that makes it MANDATORY that all laws passed by Congress apply to ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS, WITHOUT EXEMPTIONS!
    My list goes on. Now I list myself as Unaffiliated and search for a ‘FEW GOOD MEN AND WOMEN’ who fit my dream of what our government should be. Like the seekers in the Bible it is hard to find those people who want what is best for our country, not just for themselves!

    Socialism. I believe that voters would love to have a clear choice between

    unions, teachers unions, community action groups, the homosexual lobby and
    illegal immigration promoters) The reason RINOS and the left fear the “TEA
    Party Movement” is because the right is showing their ability to organize as
