Either both the Constitution, and its Amendments, mean what they say, or We The People have been real saps for the past two hundred plus years. For the bulk of history, since the ratification of the Constitution and each of its Amendments, we have behaved as though that belief were incontrovertible.

For instance, the second amendment states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” I thought that was pretty clear, but in the eyes of the liberals that all sounds very complicated. Does Militia mean People, or military, or savage malcontents, or mercenaries? Just because it goes on to say, “,,,the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms,” does it follow that it means people and not some other group formed by people? And when it says, “…the security of a Free State,” does it mean a state free of an oppressive government or a state free to submit to an oppressive government? Are we foolish enough to let these “vague” (not) statements (as our corrupt courts do) be interpreted whatever way the government elites want?

Of course, we don’t want a state of chaos, but are we supposed to let the activist, liberal, judges do the interpreting for us? After all, who are we to think we know what it best for us? Was it not the informed masses who voted themselves largess on the backs of the working Americans by voting for Obama? I have heard it suggested that those who do not pay taxes should not have the right to vote for those who collect and spend those taxes. Although that is exactly the situation with the American Indians (who do not pay taxes and because they do not pay taxes do not have the right to vote), it would be politically incorrect to apply that to the uninformed non-Indian American citizens who don’t pay taxes, because that would deprive the recipients of entitlements to insure they will continue to get those entitlements. Perhaps that would be as ridiculous or unacceptable as looking for terrorists primarily among the demographic or ethnicity of those who actually commit terrorism. That would put an unfair burden on the terrorists or that group from which they spring. Is it not fairer to search and intimidate old ladies in wheel chairs or children too young to know what a terrorist is?

Then there is Article II Section 1, Paragraph 8, of the Constitution, stating that before the president enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:—“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Obviously our leaders think that does not mean the Constitution as it was written. Surly the founding fathers meant for the document to be a “living,” “evolving” work; in spite of over two hundred years of apparent success. One could even ask, “Is this truly the document that was to protect and secure America?” Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Judge Roberts—and the list goes on—have ignored the very Constitution they all swore to uphold. They seem to be doing it under the cover of, “Can’t we all just get along?”

Obama has purposely left them in the dust and started acting as law giver, law enforcer, and judge (read Dictator) on all the issues that suit him. The two departments of government assigned the role of reigning him in have abdicated and are still trying to convince us they are doing it for us.

This didn’t just start with Obama. The sixteenth Amendment was surreptitiously passed by a mighty few in 1909 and ratified in 1913, giving congress the power to “lay and collect taxes on Income,” regardless of the source.   It reads short and sweet and sounds like taxation without representation. The Federal Reserve was established, illegally taking over the duties of printing or stamping money in December of 1913, the role that was expressly give to Congress,. The Federal Reserve prints money out of thin air and without even needing a printing press. It then “loans” that fiat money to our government (whether by purchasing bonds or lending the money to banks on behalf of the government). That is not the end of it, though. Our government then has to pay the money back to the Fed, using our tax dollars. Once created, the money never seems to go away, it remains the wealth of the Fed.

I could go on listing the atrocities our government has either caused, endorsed, or turned a blind eye to, but that would take much more room than I have here. The fools our own elected representatives think we are, from the President down, pales only compared to the fools we actually are. We tacitly stand by and watch our freedoms being taken away or redefined to sound like we are safer understanding or abdicating those rights “their” way. Benjamin Franklin once wrote, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” For an in depth report on the unconstitutional actions of our beloved President, please check out “Yes, Mr. President, You Will Wait:” Judicial Watch Challenges Barack Obama’s Unconstitutional Power Grabs,” at: http://www.judicialwatch.org/obama-overreach/i/POTUS-Will-Wait-Special-Report-PDF.pdf
