Ignorant and Happy

I was talking with a guy the other day, someone Lenin would’ve described as a “useful idiot”. Now I am not some member of MENSA but geez I just don’t get some people. Well maybe I do AND I don’t. I have talked politics with this guy before and he told me he isn’t into it. Of course that didn’t stop me from trying to get through to him and get him to at least consider current affairs and how they might affect America, his children and grandchildren. About how messed up our government and leaders are. About what Agenda 21 is, etc. He called me “Captain Conspiracy”.

Ok maybe I come off too strong…I get that. I’m trying to package my thoughts better and deliver them better and not turn off the audience but……what do I do with the following statements? This seemingly intelligent man said “I am uninformed, mostly by choice” and “Unlike you I choose not to expend any of my energy on negativity”.

I found his choice of words interesting….”mostly by choice” and “negativity”. To say you’re uninformed mostly by choice is a copout. Unless you are trapped under something heavy you have a choice. He’s uninformed COMPLETELY by choice. BY CHOICE! What a fool! And then the word “negativity”. Issues like taxes, spending, debt, unemployment, Agenda 21, energy, etc are negative and therefore not of interest to him and not worth tackling. Should people like this even have the right to vote???? I sure as hell don’t think so.

Let’s say this guy’s house catches fire while he’s doing something “positive” like watching a football game on TV. Let’s say you see the fire and run next door to tell him. Does he tell you he doesn’t know about the fire “mostly by choice” and that he doesn’t expend energy on such “negativity” anyway? No, he’d be up and out and doing all he can to save his home and anyone in it. Maybe it’s in this example that we find the real problem with dopes like him. See, he knows about fire. He’s seen it before, smelled it before, heard it before, even been burned by it before. He’s informed about fire from life experience. He GETS fire. What he doesn’t get is the political and cultural “fires” that threaten to burn America down. The problem is that folks like him won’t get what’s going on in our Country until they actually get burned by it. By then it will be too late to put it out. It boils down to this: either they don’t see the urgency OR they do see it but are too lazy and selfish to try and do anything about it. These types often say other, equally ridiculous things that are part of their personal copout. Things like:

“All politicians are crooked”. No, they are not!
“My vote doesn’t matter”. Hell yes it does!
“I’m just one person” Who can educate another.
“I don’t have the time” Bull****, make some time.

I believe that the right to vote in America now needs to be earned. That’s right, you should have to pass a test to get a voter card. You’d have to be able to name the current VP, Speakers, your State’s reps, their parties, etc. You’d have to answer a few questions about US History, current events, etc. You’d would have to show that you aren’t “uninformed mostly by choice” or otherwise just a moron. In America there is the freedom to be an idiot but should we let uninformed idiots vote? Hell no! It’s too important. We saw how many uninformed idiots voted in the last two elections and the results, so far, are a disaster for America.

Now I am sure dopes like Mr. Uninformed look at the evening news once in a while. They get a load of crap shoved down their willing throats by the smiling, corrupt Liberal mass media and they swallow it without question. Like when Obama said during his State of the Union address the other night that his is “the most transparent administration ever”. He’s one smooth talking BS artist and liar of the first order, but Mr.U. laps it up and laps it up. He recognizes the taste of what he’s fed and won’t try something else. It tastes like fairness and equality and “free stuff” and mean rich folks gettin’ theirs and happy days ahead. Yeah, but it’s razor blades buried in a chocolate cream pie. Eat, bleed and be stupid.

There is little that can be done for the blissfully ignorant. The only way a change of heart and mind in the uninformed will occur is when the fire gets too close to them and they get burned. Their selfish ignorance is right in their way. How can one be so happy in ignorance? It is selfish and lazy and cowardly. I feel both anger and sympathy for them at the same time. I don’t, however, want to know them and they shouldn’t have the right to cast a vote in any election.

When uninformed “voters” show up at the polls they vote with their hands tied. Here are some of the answers I’ve gotten when I’ve asked people why they voted for Obama:

He’s cool.
He’s young.
He gets us.
It was historic.
He wants to help the middle class.
We’ve had plenty of old white dudes.
He’s a great speaker.
He’s smart and Michelle is beautiful.

No kidding, these are some of them and except for the historic aspect of electing the first “black” President they are a load of hooey. Ask them to tell you anything about Obama, his ideology, his history, his church, his close advisors, his upbringing……you get crickets. In fact crickets are just as informed as these “voters”. It is really pathetic.

All we can do is keep fighting for the Constitution and the beliefs of the Founders. We cannot let uninformed morons rule the day again. I will keep trying in my own simple way to open eyes and hearts and not to be so frustrated with our uninformed brothers and sisters. It ain’t easy! Call them tools, useful idiots, lambs to the slaughter or what have you. It’s all the same. The problem is that I truly care about them and their families and our America. I want to pull them back from the path of a moving train but they don’t even see the damn thing coming!

Please help your circle of family and friends avoid their own personal train wreck. Do what you can. Be “that guy”. Take the slings and arrows and keep moving. Be firm and unwavering in your Conservative principles (if you have them). Read and learn what you can. Do what Glenn Beck always demands….don’t believe what he, or I, or anyone says or writes. Check it yourself and look for the truth. It’s out there and you’ll find it if you look for it. Do NOT expect to find much of it on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC or CNN. Watch these networks from time to time as I do and compare the coverage of events (or like in the case in Benghazi, the almost criminal lack of it) to what you’ll find on Fox News. Again, don’t take my word for it just watch and compare and be honest with what you find.

During Obama’s SOTU speech the other night he said: “Over the last few years, both parties have worked together to reduce the deficit by more than $2.5 trillion – mostly through spending cuts, but also by raising tax rates on the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans.  As a result, we are more than halfway towards the goal of $4 trillion in deficit reduction that economists say we need to stabilize our finances.”

Really? How is it our deficit has been reduced? It was 10 Trillion when he was voted in and now it’s almost 17. Where is that reduction? Anybody? Mr. Uninformed swallowed it. How about this from the Pres…..
But we can’t ask senior citizens and working families to shoulder the entire burden of deficit reduction while asking nothing more from the wealthiest and most powerful.  We won’t grow the middle class simply by shifting the cost of health care or college onto families that are already struggling, or by forcing communities to lay off more teachers, cops, and firefighters.  Most Americans – Democrats, Republicans, and Independents – understand that we can’t just cut our way to prosperity.  They know that broad-based economic growth requires a balanced approach to deficit reduction, with spending cuts and revenue, and with everybody doing their fair share.   And that’s the approach I offer tonight.”

More of the same baloney for the uninformed. How can anyone ignore the facts? His policies are hurting EVERYONE in America. And this:
“The greatest nation on Earth cannot keep conducting its business by drifting from one manufactured crisis to the next.  Let’s agree, right here, right now, to keep the people’s government open, pay our bills on time, and always uphold the full faith and credit of the United States of America.  The American people have worked too hard, for too long, rebuilding from one crisis to see their elected officials cause another.”

The “manufactured crisis” is real and it’s his. For the uninformed out there, the above paragraph is code for “I want to raise the debt ceiling AGAIN and I don’t want any argument about it”.
And:
“But for the sake of our children and our future, we must do more to combat climate change.  Yes, it’s true that no single event makes a trend.  But the fact is, the 12 hottest years on record have all come in the last 15.  Heat waves, droughts, wildfires, and floods – all are now more frequent and intense.  We can choose to believe that Superstorm Sandy, and the most severe drought in decades, and the worst wildfires some states have ever seen were all just a freak coincidence.  Or we can choose to believe in the overwhelming judgment of science – and act before it’s too late.”
That’s code for “even though global warming has been proven as false science, the uninformed don’t know that and they believe. We’ll use global warming as the excuse to control land use and energy use through Agenda 21”. And finally:
“But if Congress won’t act soon to protect future generations, I will.  I will direct my Cabinet to come up with executive actions we can take, now and in the future, to reduce pollution, prepare our communities for the consequences of climate change, and speed the transition to more sustainable sources of energy.”
That’s code for “I am not your President, I am your KING. The rules don’t apply to me.
And Mr. Uninformed just swallowed.
