Do you remember August 15, 2012? How about January, 2011? My guess is that unless something significant happened to you on one of these days, then you probably don’t remember. The first date in 2012 was the day a far left domestic terrorist attempted to kill people at the Family Research Council’s (FRC) offices in Washington DC. The second date was one in which CBS News ran an article explaining how Sarah Palin’s website with Congressional districts “targeted” were partly to blame for the shooting of then Representative Gabby Giffords by another far left domestic terrorist.

These two events may seem as though the only thing they have in common is the far left radicals who intended to kill people (one of which succeeded.) I, however, would like to go a bit further with it. The leftist nut-job who opened fire on an FRC security guard (the same guard who stopped the mental defective loon from killing anyone that day) did so because of the FRC’s stance on gay marriage. The FRC released video of the wing-nut being interrogated, and this leftist said that he attacked the FRC because, as Joel Gehrke writes for The Examiner, “the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) identified them as a ‘hate group’ due to their traditional marriage views.” It really is quite interesting that a far left zealot would learn hate speech and intolerance from a left wing organization like the SPLC.

Now, if we remember back to 2011, after the horrific shooting in Tucson took the lives of many Americans, Sarah Palin was hog tied, drug through the mud, and then tarred and feathered (not literally) for a target sign over Gabby Giffords’ Congressional District. CBS News wrote on their website that the “former Alaska governor put Giffords on a ‘target list’ of lawmakers [she] wanted to see unseated in the midterm elections.” CBS followed with the fact that “Palin released a map featuring 20 House Democrats that used crosshairs images to show their districts.” And that “Critics suggested at the time that she was inciting violence by using the crosshairs imagery and for later writing on Twitter to her supporters, ‘Don’t Retreat, Instead – RELOAD!” It has come out that the leftist flake that pulled the trigger killing six people is a left leaning kook. Obviously the hypocrisy of the left and how they treat Conservatives versus Liberals is well documented, so this is just one more anecdote to put on the pile.

It’s curious how the leftist media finds imaginary connections between the Right and mass shooting incidences and then exploit them like Ron Jeremy exploits young women stepping off busses in Van Nuys. In the CBS article a commenter proves this by saying, “[Palin] targeted this woman – literally with a target on her district – one of [Palin’s] freaky Fox followers hunted her down.”

Of course this problem was once again brought up in the aftermath of the Newtown massacre, and then again after the Boston Bombings. Chris Matthews is always on the hit list for this kind of sinister journalism, if you can call it journalism, which MSNBC does. Matthews said of the Boston Bombing that “[n]ormally, domestic terrorists, people tend to be on the far right.” Granted, he backtracked a bit on that and stated that these people are just extremists, but he made a point of focusing, first, on the Right. In journalism and psychology this is known as priming, so you immediately think of the extreme right, and not necessarily the extreme left because your brain is primed to think a certain way. Others also reported that since the Boston event took place on Tax Day that it had to be a Tea Partier furious over having to pay taxes to an extra-constitutional runaway government leviathan.

I think it’s time for the media, particularly the leftist so-called news media, to return to doing their proper job of reporting the news.
