With all the discouraging lies, scandals, division and controversy of the present administration I felt compelled to write down some of the most inspirational, funny and heartfelt exerts from speeches of the Greatest President of modern-day America…Ronald Reagan. This gave me hope and a renewed sense of Patriotism, which I wanted to share with all of you…enjoy.
At one of the rallies a man in the audience asked Reagan, “are you aware of all the people out there who are praying for the President?
Reagan, “I had to say yes I am aware. I believe in intercessory prayer. I couldn’t help but say to that questioner after, that sometimes when he was praying and he got a busy signal it was just me in there ahead of him.
I think I understand how Abraham Lincoln felt when he said, “I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go.”
Now, I realize that it’s fashionable in some circles to believe that no one in government should encourage others to read the Bible. We are told that we’ll have violated the Constitutional separation of church and state established by the Founding Fathers in the first Amendment. The first Amendment was NOT written to protect people and their laws from religious values. It was written to protect those values from government Tyranny.
I’ve said that we must be cautious in claiming that God is on our side. I think the real question that we must answer is…, are we on God’s side?
No matter where we live we have a promise that can make all the difference. A promise from Jesus to soothe our sorrows, heal our hearts and drive away our fears. He promised there will never be a dark night that doesn’t end. While weeping may endure for a night, joy comes in the morning. He promised if our hearts are true His love will be as sure as Sunlight. By dying for us Jesus showed how far our love should be ready to go…all the way.
Americans yearn to experience life’s deepest truths. To say their entertainment or their idea of entertainment is (sex, violence and crime) is an Insult to their goodness and intelligence. We are people who believe: Love can triumph over hate, creativity over destruction and hope over despair. That’s why so many millions hunger over God’s good news.
I’ve always believed that we were, each of us, put here on this earth for a reason; there is a plan, somehow a divine plan for all of us. I now know that whatever days are left of me belong to Him.
I also believe this blessed land was set apart in a very special way. Our forbearers came (not) for gold but mainly in search of God and the freedom to worship in their own way.
We’ve been a free people living under the law with faith in our Maker and our future.
We have the duty to protect the life of an unborn child.
I’ve said before that the most sublime picture in American history is of George Washington, on his knees in the snow at Valley Forge. That image personifies a people that know it’s not enough to depend on our own courage and goodness. We must also seek help from God our Father and preserver.
The morality and value such faith implies are deeply embedded in our national character. Our country embraces those principles by design and we abandon them at our own peril.
My experience in this office I hold has only deepened the belief I’ve held for many years. Within the covers of that single book are all the answers to all the problems that face us today if we would only read and believe.
The current tax code is a daily mugging.
We don’t have a trillion-dollar debt because we haven’t taxed enough; we have a trillion-dollar debt because we spend too much.
There is a mandate to impose a voluntary return to traditional values.
Communism is another sad, bizarre chapter in human history whose last pages are even now being written. The source of our strength in the quest for human freedom is not material but spiritual. It knows no limits so it must terrify and ultimately triumph over those who would enslave their fellowmen.
Peace through strength.
Without God, there is no virtue because there’s no promoting of the conscience. Without God Democracy will not and cannot endure. If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God then we will be a nation gone under.
Not everybody aspires to be a bank president or a nuclear scientist, but everybody wants to do something with one’s life that will give him pride and a sense of accomplishment.
We’ll never find every answer, solve every problem or heal every wound. We can do a lot though if we walk together down that one path that we know provides real hope.
As I was writing this it became even more evident what a great man of prayer he was. He believed in the word and was truly born again. He touched and inspired many people with his spirit of hope, wisdom, love and accomplishment and he is dearly missed. I looked to heaven and told God what a great man He had taken from us and how America really needed another Ronald Reagan right now so…give him back! I’ll trade you for the one we got.
His campaign slogan, are you better off now than you were (four) years ago?
Well then, please remember there is a war ahead and an election. Prepared your outlook; this is not the time for a whinny, wimpy, beat-up, beat-down, giving up on America’s sovereignty attitude. We can still vote in November and make a difference.
We built it, we paid for it, it’s ours and we’re going to keep it.
Don’t let anyone take your vote away. Volunteer at your local district’s poll to keep it honest. Do your own homework on your local candidates. Do whatever it takes within your local district to stop voter fraud and get the best guy or gal voted in. There is a war inside America and it can be defeated. It’s not over until the fat lady sings and she hasn’t even decided to run yet…
America, please vote for another like Reagan and don’t barter our ethics for (moderate morality). This time is [Our time] to Win! Re-read (His words) until you believe, because… Elections have consequences!
