The struggle in our society with sex and women’s rights has reached a dark place. Within every corner of our country, we see the lack and growing lack of respect for women. The marriage bed is no long sacred, and the women are more and more devalued.
Though there are many causes for this, one of the main causes is the use of pornography. Young men and women have ready access to almost any variant of sexual sin. While they are still developing their sexual understanding, they are taught through these images that women are objects.
This devalues women to the equivalent of a toilet. Women are betrayed as a thing in which or by which to gain relief or satisfaction. This has led women to feel like they are to do any and all things to please the males in their lives. This low view of women is leading women to an unhealthy view of themselves and even to violence against them.
Now, Georgia joins other states in an effort to turn back the effects of this multi-million dollar industry.

Members of the Georgia House of Representatives are considering a resolution that would declare pornography as being a public health crisis.
House Resolution 364 was co-sponsored by Reps. Bruce Broadrick, R-Dalton; Sharon Cooper, R-Marietta; Steve Tarvin, R-Chickamauga; Kevin Tanner, R-Dawsonville; and Dewayne Hill, R-Ringgold.
“[C]hildren and youth are exposed to pornography that oftentimes serves as their sex education and shapes their sexual templates. Because pornography treats women as objects and commodities for the viewer’s use, it teaches girls they are to be used and boys to be users,” it laments.
But, there is something deeper at work here. Pornography is at heart a tool to destroy the Church and the Freedom of Men. R. J. Rushdoony points this out in his book, Law and Liberty.
[P]ornography manifests a hostility it the very idea of law and morality. . . The destiny of man is to be free from law, according to these men, and the way to be free is to begin to break the law, by violating morality.
At the Second Annual Conference of Socialist Scholars, once the leading lecturer called for the “collective worker in a collective society” and for “the destruction of the bourgeois family as we know it” and “for complete freedom of sexual life.” In other words, Man’s freedom, he stated, involves being “exempt from worship” as well as morality, but man’s freedom also involves a Marxist state! Slavery is religion and morality, and freedom is Marxist socialism. Moral anarchism is the tool and instrument of totalitarianism, of socialism and dictatorship.
Until we recognize that this sin that they paint up so beautifully is the chains forged to enslave the church, we will continue to allow this wickedness to dominate us.
