The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) recently published a statement and started a petition asking CNN and other media outlets to stop giving “anti-gay activists a platform for their false and dangerous messages”:

CNN and the rest of the media are doing nothing but exposing their viewers to dangerous anti-gay rhetoric when they invite members of these anti-gay groups onto their programming. Starting in 2011, this needs to stop.

Despite their mission to “promote understanding,” GLAAD makes it clear that not only will they not listen to anyone who disagrees with them, but they don’t want anyone else to even hear other voices on important issues such as sexuality, marriage, identity and male-female complementarity.
