Maryland Democratic Gov. Martin O’Malley is inching closer to mounting a 2016 presidential campaign.
“It’s going well,” he said of preparations. “By the end of this year, I think we’re on course to have a body of work that lays the framework of a candidacy for 2016.”
Time.com and The Washington Post spoke with O’Malley at the National Governors Association meeting in Milwaukee.
O’Malley had said in April he was considering a White House bid and would give it more serious consideration during the latter part of 2013.
