A mother eager to have a child calls the unborn her baby. A person who does not want to be a mother calls the unborn a fetus. I am grateful that I have a mother. Are you grateful that you have a mother? If you are reading this then you have a mother.

The stories coming from the Gosnell Trials are horrifying to me for I am a mother, so I see images of babies with their necks snipped. When my unborn children of the age of these murdered children were still in my womb I was talking to them. I read aloud to them. I caressed them thru my belly wall when they seemed distressed and I enjoyed their response. I would laugh about their bouts of hiccups, though it could be annoying. Most of all I was grateful for the life I felt within myself.

My husband, who died of cancer when he was in his 57th year, was an aborted fetus. At 27 weeks of fetal age his mother was very ill. The doctor decided to abort him from his mother’s womb in order to save her life. They did not expect him to live. His mother died two weeks later but he lived. It was the year of 1951 and my husband was born in a maternity home in a small town. There was no incubator, nor neonatal unit to care for him, just a caring nurse who fed him with a dropper.

http://www.baby2see.com/development/week25.html At 23 weeks of fetal age the unborn child will grasp an object placed in their hand. There is a 50% chance of survival if born.
http://www.baby2see.com/development/week26.html At 24 weeks of fetal age the unborn child will suck its thumb which helps him/her calm itself. Playing and touching the baby is possible now for they can respond to touch through the belly wall.
http://www.baby2see.com/development/week27.html At 25 weeks of fetal age the unborn child can hear and some mothers will read to their developing baby. The eyes are fully developed and the unborn child can notice and may turn his/her head if the mother shines a flashlight against her stomach. There is an 80% chance of survival if born.
http://www.baby2see.com/development/week28.html At 26 weeks of fetal age the unborn child has REM (rapid eye movement of dreaming). There is a 90% chance of survival if born.
http://www.baby2see.com/development/week29.html At 27 weeks of fetal age the unborn child starts to recognize their mothers’ voice. This is the age my husband was when he was aborted to save his mother.

I am grateful for the nurse who believed that there was a chance that my husband could survive more than a few minutes outside of his mother’s womb. If it had not been for this caring nurse who saw before her a baby and not a fetus my children would never have known their dad.

The news media are finally reporting about the Gosnell atrocities. Some sources are referring to the murdered children as babies. Others are referring to them as fetuses. The prosecuting attorneys call them baby A and baby B and so forth. The defense attorneys do not have the courage to use the word baby and can only find it in themselves to refer to the murdered children as fetuses. I guess they never had a mother.

Fox news is calling Gosnell’s victims as babies. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/04/26/truth-about-kermit-gosnell-trial/ Here on Patriotupdate.com I too am calling them babies.

There are ninety-five-congressmen who also appear to think that they are babies. http://cnsnews.com/blog/craig-bannister/ninety-five-congressmen-sponsor-dc-pain-capable-unborn-child-protection-act
I am happy to report that CNN is calling them babies as well. http://www.cnn.com/2013/03/04/us/pennsylvania-gosnell-trial
The major news stations are finally reporting on this gruesome case and even ABC is referring to the murdered children as infants and babies now. http://abcnews.go.com/US/abortion-doctor-kermit-gosnell-ends-defense-witnesses/story?id=19031475#.UXvrxMrea8U

What about the millions of babies who are still being referred to as fetuses and being aborted around the country every day? Just because they have not breathed outside of the womb yet does not change the fact that they are alive. Are we as a nation going to continue being murderers or are we one day going to celebrate Mother’s Day together?

When I was only 15 weeks pregnant with my first child, and he was only 13 weeks of fetal age, I felt him moving and I knew that there was a new life within me and I am celebrating Mother’s Day. To all the women who have never been able to experience this awesome experience I wish you could. To the women who have had this experience and yet decided that it was only a fetus and that it was not alive, I feel sorry for you. You could have given birth to a live child and given it to those women who can’t have children and they could have been a mother.

To know the full disgrace of abortion clinics read the actual trial report and then remember that the only difference between what happened there and what is happening all around the country at the other abortion clinics today is that the terminating of life was outside the womb instead of inside the womb. It is murder either way. The following quote is from the trial reports:

“Sue arrived with her aunt at 9:00 a.m. and did not leave the clinic until almost 11:00 that night. An ultrasound conducted by Kareema Cross recorded a gestational age of 29.4 weeks. Cross testified that the girl appeared to be seven or eight months pregnant. Cross said that, during 13-plus hours, the girl was given a large amount of Cytotec to induce labor and delivery. Sue complained of pain and was heavily sedated. According to Cross, the girl was left to labor for hours and hours. Eventually, she gave birth to a large baby boy. Cross estimated that the baby was 18 to 19 inches long. She said he was nearly the size of her own six pound, six ounce, newborn daughter. After the baby was expelled, Cross noticed that he was breathing, though not for long. After about 10 to 20 seconds, while the mother was asleep, “the doctor just slit the neck,” said Cross. Gosnell put the boy’s body in a shoebox. Cross described the baby as so big that his feet and arms hung out over the sides of the container. Cross said that she saw the baby move after his neck was cut, and after the doctor placed it in the shoebox. Gosnell told her, “it’s the baby’s reflexes. It’s not really moving.” The neonatologist testified that what Gosnell told his people was absolutely false. If a baby moves, it is alive. Equally troubling, it feels a “tremendous amount of pain” when its spinal cord is severed. So, the fact that Baby Boy A. continued to move after his spinal cord was cut with scissors means that he did not die instantly. Maybe the cord was not completely severed. In any case, his few moments of life were spent in excruciating pain.”

After reading about this if you have decided to call the unborn a baby instead of a fetus, then a Happy Mother’s Day to you.
