The political “center” pined after by many journalists, pundits and lawmakers doesn’t exist, National Review Online editor Jonah Goldberg said in an interview with The Daily Caller’s Ginni Thomas.
“What drives me crazy is this idea that somehow the left is wrong, the right is wrong, but if you compromise between the two, you have this great thing,” Goldberg said.
“People forget that there is no center in politics. The center is a completely metaphorical concept. It’s a geographic concept applied metaphorically to politics,” he explained. “There is no actual center that stays in one place.”
