Hamas terrorists are complaining about Divine Intervention saying, “Their God changes the direction of our rockets in mid-air,” declares the Jewish Telegraph newspaper. Headlines in Israel report (Miracles) in the sky are keeping Jews safe during the Gaza strip ground war. If you go by the headlines of local newspapers in Israel, the Jews under attack by Hamas rockets have another hidden defense: God Himself. That’s not a headline you’re likely to see in any of America’s (Left) newspapers but never the less it’s a claim of truth from a candid Terrorist.
It was actually a partial quote from Barbara Ordman, who lives on the West Bank. Her exact quotation was: “As one of the terrorists from Gaza was reported to say when asked why they couldn’t aim their rockets more efficiently: “We do aim them, but their God changes their path in mid-air.”
She opened her piece with a quote by noting: “In October 1956, Israeli Prime Minister, David Ben Gurion was interviewed by CBS. He stated: “In Israel, in order to be a realist, you must believe in miracles.”
Hamas is not the only one frustrated with Israel’s miracles. A few weeks ago John Kerry, Secretary of State, who (publicly) says he supports Israel’s right to defend itself against rocket attacks, was heard ‘complaining’ about it on a hot mic, “It’s a hell of a pinpoint operation- just hell of a pinpoint operation. We’ve got to get over there. We ought to go tonight. I think it’s crazy to be sitting around.” A lot of his frustration comes from his unsuccessful ability in negotiating by pressuring the approval of peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians which he has stubbornly taken upon himself to “force” into fusion.
In the British Spectator, Alex Massie, (a pessimist in my opinion) wrote, “Even Gaza is just a bloody side show tangential-despite its horrors- to the real and horrendous questions that loom in Israel’s future. The occupation is unsustainable and so is everything else. It doesn’t matter whose fault it is. It just is. It’s a zero sum game with no winners but in which Israel risks losing more than its opponents. There they stand and there they can do no other even though they know it will not, cannot be anything close to enough. It’s hopeless in Gaza and Jerusalem alike.”
Mr. Massie, with thousands of missiles aimed at Israel consistently, your thoughts here show me your abandonment of reality in this situation (like many growing anti-Semitists European nations) suggesting that Israel should just give up hope and go quietly into the sea to appease you, the world and Hamas. All of you with your unrealistic opinions are observers of this war, sitting on the sidelines. None of you are participants feeling the horror of hatred reigning down daily upon you, your family, your home or your only land. Not believing in God is why you do not understand how hanging onto hope and belief in “miracles” is vital to Israel’s surviving another day.
Muslim Terrorism is a real danger not a whimsical threat. It is a clinical diagnosis of a pathological movement across the Middle East coming soon to a country near you. It should be taken very serious and it needs to be stopped right now before it gains support and grows.
Most viewers of this age old fight between the Muslims and the Jews are well aware of the attributes of the Jewish cosmic weapon called the Iron Dome. This may be one explanation of why there aren’t more Israeli casualties with the Hamas conflict. A miracle of modern science to be sure, it strikes down 90% of its targeted missiles. As Secretary Kerry stated, “A hell of a pinpoint operation.”
Not everybody shares in this belief of the Iron Domes accuracy. National Security Specialist, David Axe wrote in an article picked up by Reuters, that he doesn’t believe the 90% number. He wrote, “Israel’s vaulted Iron Dome defense system is more like an iron sieve. It fails to destroy all but a few of the rockets that Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups fire at Israeli communities.”
Physicist, Theodore Postol of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is an expert who opposes the construction of missile defense systems largely on the ground that they cannot be made to work under nearly any circumstances. Based on his own research, Postol believes that fewer than 10% of Iron dome’s intercepts are successful.
Uzi Rubin vehemently disagrees with Axe and Postol’s findings. Rubin an Israeli expert on missile defense has worked on the Iron Dome system and embraces the Israeli government’s position that the Iron Domes success rate [is] around 90%. Rubin disputes Postol’s research findings saying the Iron Dome is Ironclad success. In 2006 before Iron Dome was in place, there was much higher casualties in Israel from rocket attacks. The progress in casualty numbers today can’t be attributed primarily to civil defense measures, which were similar back then. The biggest improvement of decreased casualties from then (2006) to today is the Iron Dome defense system.
If the Iron dome is 90% accurate what happened to the 10% of rockets that did get through? If it’s only 10% accurate as Mr. Postol suggest then wouldn’t Israel be ravaged by the 90% that got through? By sheer luck did these missiles miss populated areas? In reading up on the facts, Iron Dome “only” targets missiles that trajectory and velocity will take them into populated areas. This mystery begs us all to ask the question why there isn’t more damage from the 10% that get through. Israel Today calls the mystery a miracle as does IDF Col. Winter’s account of a strange heavy fog that came over his men protecting them from being seen throughout a raid. Also an Iron Dome Battery Commander‘s account featured in WND below.
He personally witnessed “the hand of God” diverting an incoming rocket out of harm’s way. The commander recalled: “A missile was fired from Gaza. Iron Dome precisely calculated its trajectory. We know where these missiles are going to land down to a radius of 200 meters. This particular missile was going to hit either: the Azrieli Towers, the Kirya (Israel’s equivalent of the Pentagon) or a central Tel Aviv railway station. Hundreds could have died.”
“We fired the first interceptor, it missed. We fired off a second one, it missed. This is so very rare that I was in shock. At this point we had just about four seconds before the missile landed. We had already notified emergency services to converge on the target locations and had warned of a mass casualty incident. Suddenly, Iron Dome (which also calculates wind speeds) shows a major wind coming up from the east, a very strong wind that…sends the missile into the sea. We were all stunned. I stood up and shouted; there is a God! I witnessed this miracle with my own eyes; it was not told or reported to me. I saw the hand of God send that missile into the sea.” Not by might, nor by power but by My Spirit, says the Lord.
In a July Arutz Sheva 7 article, Dr. Inna Rogatchi wrote, “The Jewish nations existence for six millennia is a miracle. There is no single Jewish life without a miracle. Miracle-an essential part of our belief; it is a gem of Jewish folklore. It is a source of our hope in the dark, it’s a gift of our dreams and we all know why…because these miracles are true.”
God has set up Israel throughout history so that it would bring millions to see that their continuing survival appears “humanly” impossible so one would have to look to the supernatural for a good explanation.
Romans 8:36 For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; regarded as Apes and Pigs for the slaughter. Amid all these things (bombings and tunnels of treachery) we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory (through Him) who loves us.
Joel 2: 29-30 I will pour out My Spirit in those days and I will show signs and wonders in the Heavens and on the Earth with blood and fire and columns of smoke. See Iron Dome work by following the column of smoke and get a glimpse of the cosmic catcher’s mitt slapping the 10% of rockets that got across the plate back into Gaza or the sea.
Zechariah 2:8-9 Says the Lord to the nations who plunder you (Israel) he who touches you touches the apple of My eye. I will swing my hand over them and they (Hamas) shall be made plunder. Remember, Hamas has already reported this to the newspapers in response to “their bad aim” saying, “their God swings His hand and re-directs our rockets in mid-air.”
