Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is going to endorse Rick Perry for president, CNN is reporting.
Jindal, a former congressman and the first Indian-American governor, is slated to be the Texas governor’s guest at tonight’s GOP presidential debate in Tampa. CNN is citing an unnamed source and says Jindal will make it official before the debate.
CNN and the Tea Party Express are co-hosting the debate, starting at 8 p.m. ET, in the city where Republicans will meet next year to formally nominate a standard-bearer against President Obama.
Jindal was an assistant secretary of the Health and Human Services department under President George W. Bush.
