Recently, we sent Victoria Jackson to the Occupy Wall Street Protest in New York city to film what the protesters are protesting.  The video of her conversations with them has brought on a storm of attacks from many liberal websites including the Huffington Post, Examiner and Entertainment Weekly.

HuffPo huffed that she

…took a video camera to the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York City, predictably trying to inflame the supporters camped out in Zuccotti Park.

She dove right into her particular brand of hateful commentary early, pointing out Ground Zero from her car window and saying “some Muslims flew in to” the Twin Towers.

Once Jackson got down to the protests, she began interviewing both the protesters and those that happened to be passing by. She began by asking what they were protesting, then seizing on their responses. She often brought up President Obama’s connection to GE, calling him a Marxist and socialist.”

In her own words from the video, Ms. Jackson states that she thinks the protesters are against capitalism and she is curious about that, so she is going to ask them.  What is inflammatory about asking people why they believe what they believe?

As for the Muslim comment which seems to have upset all of the liberal sites, she is simply stating a well-established fact. You can call them radical Muslim extremists if you want, but it certainly wasn’t people from any other religion shouting “Allahu akbar” as they killed 3,000 Americans that day. We all know that not all Muslims are terrorists, but it is a fact that virtually all terrorists (for the last 30 years with the exception of Timothy McVeigh) have been Muslims. You can see the timeline at MSNBC here.

Another criticism from HuffPo claimed that she asked questions, seized on their responses, and “often brought up President Obama’s connection to GE, calling him a Marxist and socialist.” You would have to be completely ignorant of Obama’s policies and his rhetoric not to know that he is a Marxist and a socialist. Had this columnist actually watched the video, he would have seen that Ms. Jackson was having a rational discussion with the protester who admitted that he was voting for Obama because Obama was “less in bed with GE” than the GOP. He also had no problem with Ms. Jackson calling Obama a Marxist because this protester calls himself a Democratic socialist.

Perhaps the most vitriolic attack comes from Reuters‘ claiming that she said Obama is “a total racist, too.” This because she asked if Obama is stirring up racial divide and class warfare. A person can certainly stir up racial divide without being a racist. This is classic liberal strategy. They can’t argue the facts of what she is saying, they can only try to defame her by calling her names.

In addition to this false implication, HuffPo called her an “avowed enemy of Glee and gay people.” According to Ms. Jackson, this is a lie and slander.  “I love gay people.  That is very hateful slander against me just because I don’t want two teenage boys kissing on primetime TV shows.”

As I spoke with her this morning, Victoria Jackson readily admitted she’s a beginner political activist and is still honing her “political debating” skills.  Like most Tea Partiers, her political awakening occurred in 2008 when suddenly a Marxist was voted into our highest office.  “I couldn’t believe that it came true in my lifetime, between age 12 and 50, what my Christian high school teacher had predicted, that communism would infiltrate America.  Ms. McCoy made us read 1984 by George Orwell, and told us that communism would not take over by force, because of the 2nd amendment, but by immorality, the breakup of the family unit, and sex, drugs, and rock n roll.”

About her viral video, Victoria says, “I wish I could make that one statement clearer, about ‘created equal.’  Spiritually, all men are created equal, as the Bible says.  God loves everyone the same.  Jesus died for every person individually.  I just meant that physically, and mentally, people are different, so that even in a communist country, the ideal of perfect equality can’t exist.  Some people are genetically smarter, some more athletic, prettier, etc.  We should each use the gifts God gave us for His glory.  Jesus said the poor will always be with us, and ‘Thou shalt not covet,’ so with a capitalistic system, each individual can achieve their full potential, but not so in a communistic one.”

As Norman Thomas, a U.S. Socialist Party candidate for president, once famously said, “The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

As Alan Caruba noted in his Tea Party Nation column,

Thomas ran for president six consecutive times from 1928. He needn’t have bothered as Franklin Delano Roosevelt and subsequent Democrat Presidents introduced most of the planks of the Communist Manifesto and we live with them to this day.

The Occupy Wall Street youngsters are the latest foot soldiers of Communism, though it is likely most are too ignorant to realize it. They have been so thoroughly indoctrinated in government schools and by Hollywood and the media that they have no idea how they are being used by labor unions and other leftist organizations.

The protesters are likely unaware of the misery and murders Marx’s Communism imposed on Russia courtesy of Lenin, Stalin, and those who followed in their footsteps. Mao’s Red China murdered thousands as well in the pursuit of the “equality” that is the alleged goal of Communism and liberalism. (Occupy Wall Street: Communism’s Clueless Foot Soldiers)

Caruba is actually understating the horrors of Communism. Lenin, Stalin, and Mao actually murdered tens of millions, far more than the abominable Nazis did.  The pursuit of forced equality by civil government means that civil government has to overcome all of the inequalities due to people’s different talents, abilities, backgrounds, personalities, morals, etc. It is an ideal that is impossible to realize without government controlling every aspect of life. Such a totalitarian endeavor is the result of both ignorance and foolishness.
