Never misses a chance to blame Bush.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke about the wave of violence hitting Iraq from Islamic militants, asserting that the United States does not have a responsibility to assist the country with military action.

“I don’t think this is our responsibility, but I do think we were irresponsible for going into Iraq for a variety of other reasons,” she told reporters on Capitol Hill on Thursday.

Pelosi called the violence “troubling” but asserted that there was no American appetite for further military action in the country.
“It is a fact; the American people have been exhausted with wars,” she said.

Pelosi reminded reporters that the Bush administration had “misrepresented the facts” on the reasons for going to war “on a false premise.”
