Ho Chi Minh, former communist president of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam during the Vietnam War, when many Americans gave their lives to stop the spread of communism in Asia, was responsible for from 500,000 up to 900,000 deaths by some estimates, through programs of “land reform” and population quotas.

The Vietnam War, which was fought by the U.S. against Ho’s communist government, resulted in some 58,000 American deaths and the abandoning of Saigon, leaving emotional and psychological wounds on this nation that have never fully healed.

So naturally, President Obama the other day was all praise for America’s former enemy.

On Thursday, Obama met with current Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, who presented Obama with a letter that Ho had written to President Truman, expressing hope that the U.S. and the communist government could work together.

“… And we discussed the fact that Ho Chi Minh was actually inspired by the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution, and the words of Thomas Jefferson,” Obama told reporters. “Ho Chi Minh talks about his interest in cooperation with the United States. And President Sang indicated that even if it’s 67 years later, it’s good that we’re still making progress.”

If by “progress” you mean that America has foolishly re-elected a radical left-wing, know-nothing, morally bankrupt, socialist numbnuts for president. …

It is hard to understand how, even inside the vast resonating chamber that is Obama’s brain, one of the great mass murderers of the 20th century could ever lay claim to inspiration by a man whose words led to the historic advancement of human rights and the foundation of a country on principles of individual liberty.

Ho murdered his enemies, particularly those who resisted his oppressive taxes. Jefferson would have been at the forefront of that rebellion, not on the side of the tyrant.

This gross twisting of history is made possible by Obama’s own brand of anti-American ignorance and his textbook narcissism, which causes him to actually see himself as an international symbol of “healing” between nations.

He is no such thing in reality because he has no spine and no moral compass. He just goes where the wind is blowing and is completely incapable of leading anyone without his cabal of enablers and string pullers.

That Obama could praise one of the bloodiest mass murderers in history, whose actions led us into a war that killed thousands of our bravest troops, is yet another sign of the moral depravity oozing out of the White House on a daily basis.

Add this to the list of “phony” scandals dangling behind this president.
