It’s Groundhog Day at the White House again.

Determined to continue the exercise in class warfare at the heart of his re-election campaign, Barack Obama once again called for an extension of the Bush era tax cuts — except for households earning more than $250,000 a year.

“Let’s not hold the vast majority of Americans and our economy hostage while we debate the merits of another tax cut for the wealthy,” said Obama yesterday — his photo-op announcement enhanced by a dozen people the White House said would benefit from his version of the tax cut extension.

He even insisted those upper income tax cuts — many of them used by small businesses — were “least likely to promote growth.”
