There will be livestock at Friday night’s Olympics opening ceremony (7:30 p.m., NBC). Try not to mistake one of the sheep for IOC president Jacques Rogge.
Given a chance to show a little courage, Rogge has acted like Little Bo Peep’s favorite farm animal. There will be no moment of silence to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Munich massacre.
That may not strike you as a big deal, but imagine if it were the U.S. Imagine if almost half the 1972 team had been taken hostage and murdered, and the IOC refused to properly honor the American dead.
