The Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, is gearing up for its annual gathering in Washington, D.C. on March 14-16. One of the primary goals of CPAC is to rally and encourage conservatives to keep on fighting for less government and more freedom. In addition to high-profile speakers and strategy sessions, CPAC also makes it a point to honor and recognize key individuals and groups for a job well done the previous year.

One such group is Blog Bash, a tradition—now in its fourth year—that hosts its own awards ceremony for conservative bloggers and web reporters. Liberty Alliance’s own Scottie Hughes has been nominated for “Best in Show: Video Category” for her exposé of anti-Christian remarks made by a Democratic Party County Chairman at the Democratic National Convention last September. The video was a Patriot Update exclusive and went viral, leading to the Chairman’s resignation only days after the video was posted. Scottie was nominated along with three others—one being Steven Crowder, another good friend of the Liberty Alliance family—and we wish her the best of luck. Good job, Scottie!
