The New Cold War is in full effect – and that is a statement that you’ll only find written in the Free Press, as the mainstream media is fully ignoring the issues at hand.
Earlier this week, we reported on a Russian spy ship that was spotted off the coast of Delaware. Now, that same ship has moved even closer to the U.S. coast…a mere 30 miles from the coast of Connecticut. The ship is armed with advanced equipment capable of intercepting American radio transmissions.
“The Russian spy ship Viktor Leonov on Wednesday morning was spotted 40 miles closer to the U.S. — and not far from a Navy submarine base in Connecticut, a U.S. official told Fox News.
“The ship was spotted 30 miles south of Groton, Conn., but it remained in international waters. The U.S. territorial boundary extends 12 miles from the coast.
“The Russian spy ship was currently ‘loitering’ in the water, the U.S. official said.
“The spy ship is armed with surface-to-air missiles, but its main function is to intercept communications and collect data on U.S. Navy sonar capability.”
This act of espionage occurring in plain sight seems to be a posturing move by the Russians, who have thrust themselves back into world affairs with the election of President Trump.
