What do you think of the decal?
Donald Valenza, sheriff of Houston County in Alabama, recently made a huge move that defies all liberals and strikes fear into the hearts of would be criminals.
He slapped a Bible verse onto all of his patrol cars. The quote is an excerpt from Matthew 5:9, stating “Blessed are the peacemakers.”
“I’ve always had religious belief, and I feel like that’s kept me alive,” Valenza said. “We’ve used that [quote] with [the special response team] for 15 years. It symbolizes the Houston County Sheriff’s Office.” (H/T Yellow Hammer)
The decals which officers are able to put on their vehicles with ease, cost about $1.60 each and surprisingly, the feedback has been mostly positive.
The Sheriff Department’s official Facebook page has received numerous comments on the new decal with such commenters stating, “I’m an atheist and I see nothing wrong here. May you all be protected no matter how. But peace is a two way street so if you quote a book- heed all of it!”
Another poster praised the sheriff’s brave move, writing, “Great job Sheriff!!! God bless you and my brothers and sisters in Houston County!”
Some commenters did attack the decal, saying things like, “Very disappointed. Separation of church and State.”
