Was the missing Bill of Rights at Brennan’s swearing in a slip up or a sign of things to come?
When our new Director of the CIA, John Brennan, fore went the usual bible and used instead an original copy of the Constitution from 1787 with George Washington’s personal handwriting on it for his swearing in, the alert citizen saw something alarming.

It is concerning to find out that the Bill of Rights was not included with it. Without the Bill of Rights our country would be void of such things as freedom of speech and press. We would not have the right to bear arms and we could be subjected to unreasonable searches and seizures. No one would even have a right to a jury. Oh a sad place the United States would be if today our Constitution was stripped of these personal rights. Our Country is a great place and it is the Constitution and the Bill of Rights which makes it a great country. The people in our great country are also great and so it is that these God given rights must never be taken away.

Often people refer to our country as a democracy. However it is not a democracy it is a Republic. It is by far the greatest Republic in the world. We citizens of these United States must never allow our Republic to lose sight of the Bill of Rights. When was the last time you sat down and read our Constitution and the Bill of Rights? I admonish you to find a copy complete with both and to read it. I challenge you to keep a complete copy in your home where your children can see it and learn of its contents. I have a copy in my living room.

Why are we a Republic? There is an article I wrote in 2011 that tells this very well. You can find it at http://voices.yahoo.com/why-united-states-america-republic-10481365.html?cat=37 . For the most part we are a republic so that the government will never be able to become tyrannical and so that there can never be corruption by the citizenry. I fear that the current setting in the White House is a step towards losing our freedoms granted us by the Republic through the Constitution complete with all the amendments found in the Bill of Rights. As Patriots we must be educated and be willing to stand up in defense of our Great Republic… The United States of America and the Freedom our Country stands for.
