“We cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide. My Administration is dedicated to the preservation of America as a free land, and there is no cause more important for preserving that freedom than affirming the transcendent right to life of all human beings, the right without which no other rights have any meaning.” –Ronald Reagan

At midnight on May 12th, the historic crowdfunding campaign for the Gosnell movie project came to a close. The project raised a whopping $2,241,043 with 26,574 donors generously contributing. I want to express my gratitude to each and every person who donated to the project. Thank you for your efforts to share the word about the Gosnell movie with your friends and family. You can accomplish anything if we put your mind to it. Your donations will make a difference. YOU were part of an historic project! Because of your donations, the lives of countless unborn babies could be saved. You are the voice for Kermit Gosnell’s thousands of victims. My words to President Obama would be, “Yes, WE built that!”

This film project has the potential to change the narrative on the abortion debate here in America; and that terrifies the media. Abortion is portrayed as a trendy, safe, and popular thing to do. That portrayal could not be further from the truth. Kermit Gosnell’s case, while atrocious, happens every day here and around the world. Abortion clinics are left alone without inspections, workers are unlicensed, conditions are vile, utensils are unsterile, etc. What’s even more disturbing is the fact that babies are allowed to be aborted in the ninth month of pregnancy.

Ronald Reagan eloquently remarked: “We must all educate ourselves to the reality of the horrors taking place. Doctors today know that unborn children can feel a touch within the womb and that they respond to pain.”  He also said, “Late-term abortions, especially when the baby survives, but is then killed by starvation, neglect, or suffocation, show once again the link between abortion and infanticide. The time to stop both is now.”

Kermit Gosnell was allowed to practice abortions in his house of horrors for over thirty years…even under a pro-choice, Republican Governor. The media and Hollywood’s silence begs the questions, why the cover-up, and why the censorship? Just like in the case of Benghazi, you know if the media covers it up, it’s an important story.

Ronald Reagan made another very valid point when he said, “The abortionist who reassembles the arms and legs of a tiny baby to make sure all its parts have been torn from its mother’s body can hardly doubt whether it is a human being.” It is almost unimaginable that a person could execute a child in such a way…you have to be evil to do such an act. And that perfectly describes Gosnell; a monster.

The Gosnell film will certainly be difficult to watch, but the truth must be told. How can we know the truth if the truth is hidden from us and covered-up? The media knows that the house of horrors Gosnell ran would hit the abortion industry close to home. Slaughtering babies out of the womb in the manner he did strikes a nerve with people. It makes it more realistic, more human…so to speak. “Regrettably, we live at a time when some persons do not value all human life. They want to pick and choose which individuals have value.” –Ronald Reagan

Words cannot express my heartfelt gratitude towards Phelim McAleer, Ann McElhinney and Magdalena Segieda for being willing to take on this incredible, difficult task. I am thankful for their tireless work to get their film funded. Thank you.

Together, we have started a change in America; one that will not be silenced, or ignored. We ARE the change!
