The governor who leads the state that has created more jobs than all the other states combined in the last few years will run for president, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

Rumors have swirled for months that Texas Governor Rick Perry will get into the race. According to the WSJ’s “normally reliable Republican source,” Perry will throw his hat into the ring this summer.

The decision reportedly comes as a response to the weak Republican field and the fact that GOP front-runner Mitt Romney “does not reflect the Republican Party.”
