Hardware retail giant Lowe’s has pulled its commercials from all future episodes of TLC’s reality TV show “All-American Muslim,” the chain said this week.

The conservative Florida Family Association has been leading a campaign to get retailers to pull their advertisements from the show. On Tuesday, it posted an email from a Lowe‘s representative who said Lowe’s will no longer be advertising during “All-American Muslim,” which chronicles the lives of several Muslim-American families living in Dearborn, Mich.
“While we continue to advertise on various cable networks, including TLC, there are certain programs that do not meet Lowe’s advertising guidelines, including the show you brought to our attention. Lowe’s will no longer be advertising on that program,” the Lowe’s representative said.

In a post on its official Twitter feed Friday, Lowe’s wrote in response to another tweet: “We did not pull our ads based solely on the complaints or emails of any one group. It is never our intent to alienate anyone.”

A Lowe’s spokeswoman later elaborated to the Hollywood Reporter, saying, “We understand the program raised concerns, complaints or issues from multiple sides of the viewer spectrum, which we found after doing research of news articles and blogs covering the show. We based our decision to pull the advertising on this research and after hearing the concerns we received through emails, calls, through social media and in news reports.”

What pure propaganda ! Go to any Islamic countries and get 1st hand knowledge of 7th century mentality ,imbued with Arab imperialism making Arabic culture & Arab worship as the allah approved one ,while systematically erasing their own native cultures. Many flee from this Arab infestation ,which breeds tyranny and violence and come over to NON Islamic countries. But sadly ,slowly and surely ,they want the same thing again ! On top of that , they have the tenacity and the audacity to have the cheek to boast they have a superior culture and want the rest of the world to have a taste of their backwardness and decadency. And lately their beloved idiotic Iman ,has called upon his peers to ban “whole” banana, carrot, etc being anywhere close for fear of their women becoming overcome with sexual desires. They nothing to offer the modern world ,except violence ,jealousy and hatred towards the “infidel” .

Way to go Lowe’s for standing up for what you believe. Do not be bullied into changing your stance.

    At 12:52 today I made a post.
at 7pm tonight it’s still in moderation.
moderation is just another word for censorship.

I checked and the only comment of yours that has not been allowed was one where the only point being made was complaining about a previous post being in moderation. All of your other comments have been approved. So none of your posts have been censored.

        …………………………………………………………

        Jennie,
Let’s take a closer look at the word “censor.”

        censor |ˈsensər|
        noun
1 an official who examines material that is about to be released, such as books, movies, news, and art, and suppresses any parts that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security.
        • Psychoanalysis an aspect of the superego that is said to prevent certain ideas and memories from emerging into consciousness. [ORIGIN: from a mistranslation of German Zensur ‘censorship,’ coined by Freud.]

2 (in ancient Rome) either of two magistrates who held censuses and supervised public morals.
verb [ trans. ] (often be censored)
examine (a book, movie, etc.) officially and suppress unacceptable parts of it : my mail was being censored.

        DERIVATIVES
        censorial |senˈsôrēəl| adjective
ORIGIN mid 16th cent. (in sense 2): from Latin, from censere ‘assess.’
USAGE Both censor and censure are both verbs and nouns, but censor means ‘ scrutinize, revise, or cut unacceptable parts (from a book, movie, etc.)’ or ‘a person who does this,’ while censure means ‘criticize harshly’ or ‘harsh criticism:’ : the inmates received their mail only after prison officials had censored all the contents;: some senators considered a resolution of censure to express strong disapproval of the president’s behavior.

Also, holding a comment for more than a few hours is
almost the same as not allowing it at all since most of the
readers have moved on. A few weeks ago you mentioned
something about improvements being made to the website.

Allah is the Muslims satanic moon god. T heir god is NOT our G-d. No comparison. The Koran is a book of peace. George Bush said that.

Congressman Chris Murphy (D-Con.) thinks it is okay to use the floor of Congress to slam, trash, bully and defame millions of Christians who believe Islam is NOT a peaceful religion and an American company (Lowe’s) that does not want to promote a Muslim TV reality show. Please let him know on his YouTube video, of his rant, that it is not okay to use the floor of Congress in such a manner:

    Rymond,
Thanks you for posting what you did, and judging by your avatar, thank you for your service!!!
HOWEVER, we ALL must be careful about what we say here against “Muslims” in general as, believe it or not, The Constitution DOES protect the freedom of the people to practice that religion.
Now believe me, I DO NOT disagree with those of you who have a deep distrust in the religion of Islam, I also fall into that group! In fact I carry a gun EVERY DAY in the event that I am fortunate/unfortunate enough to be able to intervene in the onset of a terrorist attack here on American soil. BUT I DO believe in the Constitution “as written”, and I DO believe that there “can be” good-American Muslims!
Granted, to be a “good-American Muslim” I would expect them to NOT follow some of the Quran sections that Rymond posted regarding not being friendly to other religions, that the killing of the infidel in the name of Allah is acceptable, that forcing others to follow Sharia is the ONLY way, etc…
BUT, IT IS possible that there ARE “Muslims” who would follow these “civilized” concessions in their own faith that I just mentioned, just like I, as a Christian, do not believe the Bible should be taken literally, OR that The Lord himself wrote the bible (yes, it was written by divinely inspired men, but written by “man” is THE fact!). I look upon the Bible for its valuable lessons, not to take it in a literal sense, just as I would hope that a “good-American Muslim” would take the Quran for the valuable/peaceful lessons which it DOES contain! Believe it or not, it even includes lessons that Jesus brought to mankind!
As far as the “silence” of the supposedly “good Muslims” when their brethren commit attrocities against man, I cannot explain that with 100% accuracy, just like in reality, nobody really can. Perhaps it’s because those voices are a small minority of that faith? Perhaps it is for fear of repercussions/reprisals from the more radical forces of that faith? I cannot be sure, but I do know that it IS a dangerous slope to tread when we spread the philosophy that “all Muslims are no good”.
If I am wrong on this, at least I am personally prepared to defend myself and my country with deadly force. And, if I am wrong, I know I will be in a target rich environment (I live @ 20-30 miles from Dearborn, MI! LoL…). But, to hate ALL of a people or a religion, is also not Christian OR Constitutional…
EVERYONE should be prepared to defend our nation from enemies both foreign an DOMESTIC!
With the way our own federal government is running our country into the ground, I more fear THEM as the largest threat to our individual freedoms than ANY religious group!
Just my 2 cents, take them as you may…

Whenever a see a Muslim woman in a store or the mall pushing a baby carriage, I make it a point to peer inside. Of course, in the event that she has a bomb in there, it will probably explode in my face. I do it surreptiously in the hope that I can spot something and warn people. Am I paranoid? Oh yeah, just like all those victims of terrorist attacks.

Hey, my wife and I just purchased a washer and dryer from Lowe’s Alabaster, Alabama store. Also wrote an e-mail to Lowes asking them to stand firm.
