Teachers Attend 'White Privilege' Conference on Taxpayers' Dime

It seems to me that the title of this conference was the big mistake. From what I can get from the above video, it’s purpose is to make teachers AWARE of the differences that exist and to start to do something about equality.

I have one question, does that school district EVER sponser people of color to go to their own conferences?? I bet if someone checked on it they would find that the do, and if so, why discriminate against white studies??

White Privilege? Is that the privilege to give half my income to people who don’t want to work? Is that the privilege to have quotas, set-asides and affirmative action for jobs and college seats for people who are unqualified for them? If you’re talking “equality”, that means when there is an entrance exam, everyone has the same books, the same amount of time to study and the grades are what they are and there is no consideration for racial mak-up. Color blindness is “equality”. The problem is, that isn’t the object. The object is having jobs – like police , fire, etc. having the racial makeup similar to the surrounding community. If The community is 40% white, 30% black and 30% Latino, then that’s what the jobs should reflect, regardless of who scores highest on the exams. That is not “equality”. It isn’t even fair.

  I once had a conversation with a man who was the head maintenance electrician at a plant for a large multi-national manufacturing company. Because of a government contract in a completely different division they had to adopt affirmative action and quotas of minority workers. So the company tried to hire minorities for his department as well and they succeeded…(wait for it)…after they lowered their testing standards SEVEN times.
  As a consequence he now spends almost no time at home with his family and works 70+ hours a week fixing other peoples work and being called in because almost no one is qualified to work on better than half of the electrical systems.
  
  He has tried to retire 4 times and been persuaded otherwise when the company begged. He said that he’ll either die at work or his next heart attack will leave him too infirm to continue.
  
  Racial parity should be no excuse for incompetence and people wonder why jobs went overseas.

I dislike racism from both sides, white privilege is a bad term as bad as BET is too, Racism should be abolish not encouraged from whites and blacks creating separated conferences, institutions or TV channels, I will see bad a White entertainment Channel as I see BET simply to me is a racist term and there are People making money out racism unfortunately ,of course those People needs racism alive because they make money and gain political influence of it, a clear example of the use of racism in politics is as follow, the white person who does not agree with the president is a racist, but the black who did not agreed with George W Bush was never considered a racist that is a double standard and of course manipulation of the racism in politics and unfortunately that is very common today. I deeply believe because I am one of them that a person who disagree with president Obama could not be racist it’s simply a citizen with conservative principles. I can said that I was born white Hispanic and my best friend, my real brother is a black Hispanic, when You will see the real person under any skin color You will be a real free person. To me the race is only one :”HUMAN RACE” and that term should be promoted for our Government and elected officials as also by our politicized press, to make statements and operate entities based on racism for economical or political gain is more immoral that the racism itself.

However we look at it, the activists who push PC never it seems take the part of white, poor, working class people, and the question we need to ask is:
“Is the motivation behind PC to ensure that “minorities” get all the jobs and benefits and the majority (white) population get the blame??
It is illegal to advertise “Whites only”, but ok to advertise “This position especially suitable for Black/Minority/ethnic individuals”.

Aside from the cost at a time it probably cannot be justified, whites have the right to meet and discuss their agenda, which by the way isn’t all that different from Blacks and Latinos or anyone else, in the united States. I know for a fact that the African Amercan, Latinos, or Asian American agenda is at times as distastful to others as what is thought of by them in this instance. If these minority groups were really interested in being an American, they wouldn’t be so concerned about their labels of “African American”, “Latino”, etc. They would desire to be called Americans. Until they achieve this, they have chose to segregate themselves from the rest of American society.

Niger Innis is correct in his assumption that this is a racist program designed for more white bashing and black victimization, in an attempt to procure more privilege for minorities, that creates racist divisions. Our laws and the attitude of the huge majority of the American people, as shown by who was elected President, has successfully denounced racism at its core and is now only being continued or revived by those who seek its use for their own personal gain and privilege. Their will always be race baiters, on both sides, but they should be ignored, as this conference should have, in order to keep from the nefarious acceptance of their goals, which is definately not equality among the races.

This comes from an emergency room physician. He said that a woman in her 20s came to the ER with her 8th pregnancy. She stated, “my momma told me that I am the breadwinner for the family.”

He asked her to explain. She said that she can make babies and babies get money for the family. It goes like this: The grandma calls the Department of Child and Family Services and states that the unemployed daughter is not capable of caring for these children. DCFS agrees and states that the child or children will need to go to foster care.

The grandma then volunteers to be the foster parent, and thus receives a check for $1500 per child per month in Illinois .

Total yearly income:

$144,000 tax-free, not to mention free healthcare (Medicaid) plus a monthly card entitling her to free groceries, etc, and a voucher for 250 free cell phone minutes per month. This does not even include WIC and other welfare programs.. Indeed, grandma was correct in that her fertile daughter is the “breadwinner” for the family.

This is how the ruling class spends our tax dollars.

The day after obama won, I was listing to a black R&B station out of Philly, that I enjoyed for years. The comment by the disc jockey was “all white people now report to the cotton fields”. Why the hell didn’t someone tell me and my white friends that we had white privilege? We got up before dawn for years working in steel mills and auto factories coming home too tired every night to enjoy the evening, saving what we could from our paychecks so that we could cover any costs that our families required. Only to end up in our 60′s with a congress hell bent on taking what money we saved for retirement to give to those who did not work hard. So to that person that was supposed to inform us that we were privileged I say THANKS A LOT.

I did not go to college in the 60′s like so many others so I didn’t get all their radical ideas………The 60′s were turbulent times, with lots of drugs and flower children. I was raising a family, going to church, and voting Republican, NOT for Jimmy Carter. But NOW those radically instructed students are grown up and running our country………Glad I wasn’t one of them but sorry I didn’t fight harder to keep them out of Washington. Hannity didn’t have the courtesy to listen to the professor who made the most sense. This gets back to class and family values, teachers can only do so much. Good debate even though Hannity is a ideologue who can’t think past his prejudice. It constantly amazes me how the right can spin topics to support their biases. And the greatest irony is America does not respect teaching and education and only uses it when it supports some preconceived position.
